It’s time for the piece of monthly mail that gets me more excited than any thing else. Yet again this box has not disappointed, and I have decided that this month’s My Little Box will be my last and just replaced with this, it can’t compete on value or excitement for me anymore!
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Look Incredible yet, you can see my reviews of the subscription that I’ve had since February, by clicking here. The box offers all full size products usually with a heavy focus on premium brands and offers value far better than any other box I’ve tried. At roughly £21 a month (including delivery) it’s on the pricier end of the spectrum, but lower than the Cohorted’s prices, and I’ve preferred these over the couple of Cohorted boxes I’ve received in the past. If you do look to subscribe you have to order for the following month, you can’t get your hands on the current month’s box, just as a prewarning!
Let’s jump into what was in May’s box.
BareMinerals Blush in The French Kiss (£22)
After the success that I’ve had with the BareMinerals The Soundtrack eyeshadow palette which I also received Look Incredible – I’m not disappointed at the sight of this. A gorgeous pink shade that will be perfect for spring, I already can’t wait to crack this out and try it! One thing I will say is that out of the last 4 months of me being subbed, 3 of those month’s have featured BareMinerals products – I’m new to BM and I’m becoming more converted with every product I try!
MAC Patent Polish Lip Pencil in Clever (£17.50)
A gorgeous Nude Shade in the Patent Polish line, something I’ve been yet to try. It’s a semi sheer glossy formula that I’m sure will get a lot of use. A shade that almost everyone will love is nice to see, I can’t wait to give this a go too.
Bellapierre Kabuki Brush (£22.50)
I have a confession, I don’t actually own any Kabuki brushes anymore! I always had rubbish quality ones which came free with something and I recently ditched all the ones that never got any use. This feels very soft on the hand, but not quite as soft on the face, still it’s a nice quality brush and I’m sure I’ll actually end up using this one!
Korres Eye Primer in Athens (£15)
I do love Korres but this product does leave me a little meh – the texture of it is so odd – it’s very dry and swatching on my arm it doesn’t seem very easy to blend out. I’ll reserve judgement on this until I’ve tried it on the eyes, who know’s it might surprise me!
Claire’s Accessories Nail Polish in Silver, Gold Glitter and Rainbow Sparkles (£3 each)
Last but not least is not one, not two but three polishes from Claire’s Accessories. Not quite the most premium of brands, but actually I have heard good things About Claire’s polishes in the past – I just can’t bring myself to go into the lilac stores and give them a go. There’s two topcoats of which are nice and actually don’t have anything similar in my collection, the gold and silver holo glitter is diamond shaped, and the Rainbow Sparkles is neon shades that will make a fun manicure for summer. The Silver polish reminds me of the L’Oreal Platinum Chic polish which is pretty on the nails but chips like crazy, so if this holds out better I’ll be happy!
Swatches
So whilst you get 5 full size items each month they’ve counted the Claire’s items as one so there’s actually 7 Full Size products in this month’s box and yet again there’s not any that I’m not going to get use from!

This actually does look like a great box. I’m subscribed to 5 boxes at the moment (addict much?) if I decide to end my “relationship” with one, this is probably going to be next! Xxx
At the end of last year I was subbed to 4, I cut back to 1 – but then discovered this one so it went back up to two. Unsubbing from My Little Box this month I think though as when I compare it to this, it’s a similar price and I just don’t like it in comparison!
I’ve been really enjoying My Little Box, mostly because it’s quite different and a lot of thought goes in it, however I had a problem with my April box and am still waiting for it! So that is no no, but I will see how it goes. I will definitely need to cut down at some point soon, just need to think on which ones 🙂
I think it’s maybe that I’ve been subbed to it for so long – almost 2 years now that I’ve just seen the cycle start to go round again, and the lifestyle products you get each month are going down quality wise in my opinion to where it started, most of mine end up straight in the bin!
I’ve been only getting it since January, maybe need some time to get bored first haha !
Great products & swatches! Kisses girl! :*
I seem to be hearing more and more about Look Fantastic, and I’m very intrigued.
The MAC and Bare Minerals products both sound gorgeous.

So good Lucy, I think you’d love it. It’s nice that the shades that come in it are always pretty wearable too – rather than orange eyeliners and black lipsticks that I’ve had in other boxes!
The BareMinerals blush looks lovely, is it very pigmented? (It looks it). The silver glitter nail polish looks right up my street too!
It’s quite pigmented but easily built up or down I think, this was a swatched over twice!
Nice that it doesn’t apply too heavily, allows you to control how much you want to build it up 🙂
Yes exactly the type of blush I like as I’m heavy handed and can look like a clown if I don’t start slowly and keep adding!
That BM blush looks amazing! It’d look incredible on tanned skin.
Gosh, I still can’t believe a beauty box includes MAC products – that’d never happen here. I have a Patent Polish from a LE collection and I really like it – very comfy to wear.
I love kabuki brushes! I use one to apply my powder everyday. My favourite is from the Body Shop!
PS. The pop up thingy is a bit annoying… 😛
That’s my first MAC product in a beauty box, I used the kabuki brush this morning and I did enjoy it – I think all the ones Ive had in the past have just been crappy quality and I’ve just stayed away from them as a result, I’ll have to look in my body shop outlet and see if they have the kabuki brushes in there for cheap!
It’s annoying me too, but I’ve had a lot of non wordpress subs from it in the few days it’s been up – still don’t like that the sub box is hidden at the bottom on mobiles – that’s the only thing I’d change about this theme! I just want it to appear once and then not appear again but I can’t seem to find a setting to make it work like that!
I’ve seen MAC in other UK beauty boxes and I get jealous!
This is the brush from Body Shop that I like:

It’s very dense and soft!
Eh, it’s ok, that pop up thingy won’t cause me to stop reading your blog, don’t worry. 😉
Haha, well I’ve just realised it’s because I clear my cookies so regularly for work – do you browse privately or clear cookies frequently? After you’ve clicked off it once it shouldn’t reappear for a year, unless you’ve cleared the cookie monsters out 😀
Yeah I clear my cookies. Because we were booking flights / hotels and those sites track our movements. 😛
I’ve heard many good things about BM blushes – although I’ve yet to try them myself. I’m such a fan of BM products in general though, there’s not much from them that I don’t like.
This looks like an awesome subscription service!
It is a fantastic subscription service, 4th month now and I’ve loved almost everything from every box. I’ve yet to try this on my face yet but it seems really nice – I’ve loved the eyeshadow quad I got from them, it’s fantastic and something I reach for at least a few times a week!
This sub. box looks awesome! I love all the brands included, thanks for sharing!
