New Look Pure Colour – Metallic Multi – Swatch and Review

My friend got me a mini set of 10 New Look polishes for Christmas and I haven’t got around to reviewing any of them yet, despite the fact I haven’t been reviewing them – I have been wearing them a lot, current favourite of which is the superiorly uninspired name ‘Metallic Multi‘ – New Look if you need anyone to name colours in your cosmetics department give me a call, this would be a dream task!

For my non-UK readers who aren’t already aware, New Look is a clothes store in the UK who launched their cosmetics line ‘Pure Colour’ last year and has from the reviews that I’ve seen – been very favourable quality wise, the only other thing that I’ve tried so far is a powder which is also not to shabby for the money either!

One of the reasons I’ve been wearing these polishes quite frequently is that all of the ones I’ve tried thus far have really good formulas, most are opaque in almost one coat and with a second the finish of them is nice and glossy. With a relatively short dry time this makes them a fantastic formula for when I don’t have oodles of time to get a manicure that’s going to look good without lots of waiting around.

Metallic Multi isn’t exactly a spring shade, with gorgeous deep bronze brown base it’s packed with yellow gold and pinky red duochrome sparkle, this polish really captures the light nicely and I had 3 compliments on it on a recent night out with questions about what was on my nails. Despite the name ‘metallic’ I definitely think of this as more than a metallic, it’s chunkier and somewhere that falls closer to being on the glitter side without actually being a glitter.

From the one’s I’ve tried so far, the formula isn’t the longest lasting – but it’s certianly not terrible for the price either, but at a very budget friendly £2.99 for the full size bottles and a 2-3 day wear time – without top or base coat I should add – I don’t think that’s too bad wear time at all.

I’m going to try and capture some more of my favourite polishes as I start re-wearing form the line again. They’re fantastic little polishes and deserve to be spoken about!

Have you found any stores that don’t traditionally sell cosmetics to have a really good line – let me know if there’s any I should check out!

I love this! It reminds me of an OPI or China Glaze one I have… nice to have an inexpensive option!
