I’m having a real moment with concealer, I’ve gone from being whatever is in my drawer ‘will do’ to wanting to try them all. When I’d heard about the Radiance Reveal concealer via Lucie, I had to go get it. So let’s jump into my Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer Review.
Pinned as a drugstore Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Concealer Dupe which I’d heard many good things about (and since really bad things about on Stashie’s blog) luckily this doesn’t seem to have any of the bad traits she described in her review – so how they actually compare doesn’t seem to actually be that close comparing her review with mine.
The shade selection in my boots was limited with only two shades a light shade (01 Ivory) which I picked up and a mildly darker shade, a quick peek online says there’s also a dark shade (which isn’t super dark – maybe looks NC30 ish) but with boots terrible online swatches who actually knows how close it would compare in person! I picked up the lightest shade, a radiance concealer I don’t really want to be using on spots and making them look all glowy – so the lightest shade to brighten up under the eyes was a natural choice.
The packaging of this is slick, probably the nicest concealer packaging I’ve owned personally, it’s a frosted plastic tube – which has the effect of a luxe foundation bottle, but without the unnesessary weight that comes in tow with. With a shiny silver lid and ‘engraved’ Bourjois on the side it feels worthy of it’s slightly higher drugstore price tag for a concealer at £7.99.
The wand on this is nothing to write home about shape or size wise, it’s what you’d expect but it feels a bit spongier – sometimes I can feel that plastic bit underneath the cushioned dofur – not with this, it’s nice and plush.
How It Wears
Before – A hand that was suffering with quite a bad allergic reaction, that was also on my face, elbows, knees etc!
After – Worst of the redness concealed, skin marks hidden, more ‘flawless’ finish to the skin.
The concealer is matte without being flat, it is the epitome of the type of radiance I like to see – it describes itself as being correcting, illuminating and hydrating for up to 24 hours, now I can’t comment on the 24 hours part – but I’d certainly agree with all of the above. This adds a lot of coverage and could be built up further if desired too – it’s lightweight and generally you can’t feel it on your skin at all
I have oily skin and find this lasts all day on me – although using it under eyes isn’t the oiliest part of my face so if you are planning on using it all over to conceal spots etc then this might not be the case that it’s as long-wearing.
I’ve picked up the exact right shade if I want to do a more noticeable contour look – this is slightly lighter than I’d normally go for an every day ‘i just wanna brighten up those bags quickly’ approach so I will be picking up the medium shade when I next get a chance – this might also mean that I could use this to conceal spots too, but at the moment it would draw attention rather than hide them! Overall I’m really impressed with this, generally for some reason I never gravitate towards Bourjois, but I will be doing more in future as this has impressed me so much.
I hope you enjoyed my Bourjois Radiance Reveal concealer review. What are your favourite concealers? Let me know in the comments since I want to try them all!

My all time favourite concealer is Revlon Colorstay Concealer 😊 Have you tried it?
I’m not 100% sure, I know I tried a revlon concealer when I bought the photo finish concealer but I can’t remember what one it was without going and having a look in store! I’ll have to take a look next time I go to the store 🙂
I’m GLAD this isn’t like the UD concealer!!! It looks and sounds like an ideal concealer. I’ve generally liked all Bourjois base products I’ve tried – the colour range though, are pretty limited. And poor you with the allergic reaction – did you figure out what caused it?
Haven’t got a clue what caused it. It’s mostly gone from my hands/knees/elbows but my back is still looking bad, it’s taking ages to heal and the spots are so dry and itchy which isn’t helping! I also picked up the City Radiance foundation that I haven’t been a big fan of, and I wasn’t a fan of healthy mix either – but I should try more, heard great things about their loose java powder which is next on my list to get when I need to buy a powder.
Oh no, I hate allergies! I have a tendency to get random allergic reactions on my skin, too. Ugh.
The concealer looks great, though. I really need to try some Bourjois soon. I haven’t tried anything of theirs since like, 10 yrs ago 😀
I really don’t check out their stuff enough, I remember having a baby pink and gold frost eyeshadow from them which was all I wore in High School! Will make the effect this year to try out more from them I think! It really is a great concealer!
LOL oh the frost eyeshadows back in the day…
Well, this is definitely going on my list of things to try from the UK! xx
Yep you need this! x
I was amazed at how good their foundations are! Love the healthy mix foundation
I didn’t get on with healthy mix found it a bit too greasy feeling for my oily skin, but I know it’s loved by many and just didn’t Agree with me though!
I would definitely consider trying this…great review.xx
It is a fab concealer! I love it x
