Mini Sephora Haulin’

I think I may as well write off this whole spending £25 a month! I was meant to be buying nothing this month (Unless I ran out of anything non life essential) so far I’ve done a loyalty points haul, a boots haul and now I’m here with a Sephora haul. God Damn it for some reason ‘don’t buy anything’ translates in my brain as ‘BUY IT ALL IMMEDIATELY‘. I do win points for restraining ordering any more Sephora Lip Creams or Kat Von D Liquid Lipsticks. If I could have ordered some hourglass products but that wasn’t allowed to be shipped here, that would have been a different story.

When I bought these items it was part of the VIB rouge discount event so I was hoping to qualify for the extra 10% off during that event. The codes just wouldn’t work for me and after contacting customer services we’re unable to participate due to customs… that makes no sense to me as I can apply discount codes on any other American website. For people who haven’t placed a Sephora order from the UK, or if you have the shop locally and don’t have to order from the US, if you spend over £75 the price of shipping is only £6 – and the ridiculous custom charges that come with an order (this one was £20 ish) seem a little more bearable when placing a larger order and make it more worthwhile to order more whilst the shipping is lower.

My friend Annika from Two Little Owls (currently on a bit of a hiatus due to Chloe being busy with her baby Ivy, and Annika busy with her wedding in about  6 weeks) who I got the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner for whilst in New York also wanted another, so I split some of the shipping cost with her to lessen the blow a bit more, and being the good friend that I am, I ordered slightly more to bring the cost down for us both. Aren’t I nice.

Firstly how could I not get this, I’ve collaborated with Sephora to bring you this fabulous makeup pouch. That’s a joke by the way, one day maybe –  my blog buddy Stashy found this and pointed out on Instagram and I had to have it, I mean how could I not. This was ridiculously priced (£17), and I don’t even like the design all that much – I don’t know what illustrator they paid to draw that bottle but they want a kick in the graphics tablet, but yet it still had to have it. It’s actually larger than expected so at least that’s a plus!

Next up was this Sunday Riley Power Couple (£53) everyone and their mother is raving about Sunday Riley and if the online reviews are anything to go by I won’t be disappointed. 2016 is definitely the year of trying new skincare for me and making a real effort to not be lazy so I can look like a glowing maiden when it comes to my wedding next June, gotta start early. You get more product in here than the equivalent for the money of buying gull sizes, so I got myself a deal in being able to try this. Here, these are about an eyewatering £85 each, and I’m willing to invest if the product works as well as everyone says, unfortunately we can’t get our hands on these smaller size versions here to trial them. The set contains a 0.5oz size (about 15ml) each of the Good Genes Treatment and Luna Sleeping Oil their top two sellers, and the ones which haunt me on almost every youtube page I watch. I tried the Luna oil as I’m writing this up for the first time last night, and god damn it I’m already wowed!

Lastly a random one but it was in the cart area and had me hooked to order at this point, this is the Sephora Super Nourishing Lip Balm which I didn’t need immediately, but it had quite good reviews and I’m flying through lip balms at the moment and the EOS one I picked up in New York is almost gone already, and that Stashy sent me lives in my bedside and I think they’re the last two other than my lip treatment.

I had a few points that I didn’t spend whilst in New York and decided to only to spend 100 of them as there was only one item which had me curious. From the new ‘the Estee Edit’ range from Estee Lauder is the ‘Dissolve the Drama’ 2 in 1 makeup remover and cleanser. Will keep you updated on how this goes, I’m intrigued. The only two samples I was allowed to order from the UK were the Jose Maran Argan Oil Light and Sephora Night Cream, I did order a Sephora SPF, but they must have ran out so got a night cream in it’s place.

I’m also not completely sure about the design of the pouch but I love the words on it haha 🙂

I love Sephora. I have not tried any of those products but I seem to have a thing for the Rouge Shine Lipstick.

Sucks the VIB code didn’t work for you!
And no problem on the tip about the pouch. It was just a natural fit as soon as I spotted it! 😀 I agree, the polish bottle design looks like a clipart.
Hmm I have absolutely NO interest in Sunday Riley? I feel like it’s marketing hype. Maybe it’s just because they’re SO over priced, it turns me off.
Great haul though – funny how going on a no-buy means you suddenly find all sorts of things to buy!

They’ve been really clever, every big blogger I’ve seen have seen has talked about them pretty much and they’ve stalked me around the internet for too long, curiosity got the better of me after a year.
I was also curious to see whether the Sunday Riley was any better than the Kiehls midnight recovery oil, both sleeping oils, both meant to do similar things!
I’ve had this since Monday and annoyingly I like both Good Genes and Luna – especially Luna as I saw an instant change in my skin the next day. Makes my bank account cry just thinking about needing to repurchase one, let alone both. *GULP*

See if your skin continues to love the SR products! Sometimes I find when I rotate products, my skin loves it for a few days and then it does nothing more. I just hate falling into the trap of high priced snake oil! 😛

Oh yes I’m definitely not planning on doing a first impressions on these – don’t want to be raving about them and in a month backtrack on what I said!
