Boots Haul April 2016

I’m just going to write this month off on the no spending. Go hard, or go home. I needed to head to Boots one lunch time to pick up some of the Lee Stafford Hair growth treatment that I’ve been trying out, and thanks to Lucie who I saw a haul from and instantly needed one of the products she talked about (and one product turned into two…). Not only that Stashy actively encouraged me to go out and pick up a dupe of something. Basically this isn’t my fault it’s theirs!

First up Lee Stafford Haircare was on offer again 3 for £15. I picked up two extra pots of the ‘For Hair That Never Grows Past a Certain Length’ Hair growth treatment, as I’ve just finished up my first. I’m unsure as to whether it’s just working or not yet, but I’ve just had my hair freshly cut and coloured and I feel like now my hair is all level and healthy again, I’ll be able to tell easier this time around any effects. I’m also out of hair masks again so picked up the CoCoLoco CoConut Mask which if it’s anything as good as the genius lotion from this line, I have incredibly high hopes for.

If you’ve seen any of my current makeup routines, FOTD posts on Instagram you will have seen the Peach Nuance Blush from Estee Lauder featured almost every time. That blush was discontinued and until now I thought that there wasn’t a replacement from the brand, until last week when I spoke about the fact I was trying to finish it up, and started researching dupes to discover a not exact dupe, but there was a replacement within Estee Lauder itself called Witty Peach. I was lucky as if I had gone back in last week they would have told me that blush too had been discontinued, when this week they have just got it back in and it’s been repackaged at £29 it’s not a cheap item, but seriously I use this pretty much every day. Stashy, like the good blogging friend she is encouraged me to go and get this so I could compare before my other one has gone!

Next up the splurges I can blame on Lucie (!), she talked about the Bourjois Radiance Reveal concealer, for some reason I’m loving trying out concealers at the moment. I usually have one or two at most – I think I have about 8 on the go at the moment, all still to be reviewed as well! This is supposedly the high street dupe for Urban Decay’s Naked Skin another which I’ve been eyeing up – so I thought I’d try out the drugstore version first before deciding whether I should splash the cash and compare with Urban Decays.

Lastly Lucie also spoke about the Bourjois City Radiance foundation which I heard Fleur De Force talk about when it launched and it’s been on my list to take a look at. Lucie’s mention of it had me actually go and have a look and well I clearly walked away with it. Mainly because Bourjois was on 2 for £14 and this foundation alone was £9.99, a better time to pick it up wouldn’t have happened. With SPF 30, an anti pollution screen and Radiance Boosting pigments this isn’t the kind of thing I normally gravitate towards, but sounds brilliant. Testing this on my hand in the store and it blended incredibly well and had a really nice finish and coverage, fingers crossed it works with oily skin.

That’s all, see it wasn’t that big… we’ll ignore that I should have a Sephora Haul next week coming! Let me know if you’ve tried any of these out, or if there’s any products here you’re intrigued to hear reviews of first!

I’m interested to hear about the Bourjois concealer – I haven’t seen that at the Bourjois display here yet.
I’m SO glad you got a replacement for that EL blush! πŸ™‚ What amazing timing that you snagged it before it was discontinued too! (it was fate) And sure, go ahead and blame me. I take full responsibility! πŸ˜€ And that Sephora haul you have coming too… ahem.
And how’s the wedding planning coming along? πŸ˜‰
