6 Makeup Products I’m Trying To Use Up

Hello again! If you missed yesterday’s post you won’t know what this post is all about so check that out here. I’m doing a mini series of items which I’m just sick of seeing in my collection and I’m trying to lovingly use up to make way for new, or at least make way for another item from my stash!

1. Estee Lauder Peach Nuance Blush

This is my favourite blush and one which is limited edition. Why do I want to use it up I hear you cry – well good question, I’ll certainly be sad to see it go and will probably look for dupes soon – but rarely reach for anything else instead of this, my blush collection is very unloved thanks to this bad boy.

2. Essence All About Matte Concealer

Again another favourite, and I’ve already bought a backup of this as I know it’s close to the end. Problem is that I seem to have been flicking between this one and the new one so this one isn’t getting much closer to the end. I’ve made myself not use my uber expensive Makeup Forever one I picked up in New York until this has gone.

3. My Little Beauty Embelliseur Teint de Peche

This came in one of my first My Little Box and it’s a product which has seen really regular use ever since. I’ve used it almost every day under my make up and I still can’t decide what it is it’s actually meant to do! I’ve felt for the last 6 months or so that it’s close to the end and it’s still not finished so god knows how much longer it’s going to last. I’ll continue to use this and ponder what it is it’s actually doing, hopefully it’ll soon be at it’s end so I can move on to another one of a thousand creams that’s clogging up my drawers.

4. Urban Decay Perversion Mascara

I’m not reaching for mascara a lot at the moment due to wearing lash extensions, but I really don’t like this on the top lashes at all finding it didn’t add enough volume and tended to flake and transfer through the day. It’s not as bad as a bottom lash mascara as I only add a smidge to just add a little definition.

5. Sleek Contour Kit in Light

I don’t know if you can tell from the picture but I’m very close to hitting pan on the highlight side of this palette and even the bronzer side has got a decent dent in it! I used to really like the bronzer shade in here but I think it is a little light and definitely prefer Bahama Mama from the Balm. That being said now is the time to use it up whilst pale and before summer comes!

6. Sleek Blush Trio in Lace

As you can see from this picture there is one stand out blush from this collection which I like, and the other two have barely seen love at all. I want to finish up that middle one which is similar to NARS coveted orgasm and then once it’s gone I will probably bin the palette, the other too are far to pigmented for a heavy handed gal like me, and neither are particularly complimentary on my skin tone either.

Tomorrow the skincare edition is coming up. Don’t forget to check out the haircare version if you haven’t which went up yesterday, link here!

I absolutely love Estee Lauder blushes! <3 I haven't got Peach Nuance but I am definitely going to give it a go now 🙂 Same with the Essence concealer! I'm always on the lookout for good drugstore concealers. Great post x

Oh my, I can see the pan almost peeking through on the Sleek Contour palette!!! Arrggghhh! It’ll be so satisfying to behold the sight of the pan!

It is good, it’s a little too pale for me and I probably should have picked up medium rather than light, but I’m determined to finish it off! x

I must try out the matte concealer from essence because its quite a inexpensive brand! It would be great if it works really well with my skin 🙂 x

I am often intrigued by so many products and I don’t know what they are for. Like when the BB and CC creams first came out, they sounded great, but I had no idea what they were for and they do not usually have a description for it. I did some googling and asking around to clarify it to myself 😀

Oh that EL blush! I would cry for you… it’s just so pretty to look at. But good for you for trying to actually use it up!
Oooh yes, I can see ALMOST pan on that Sleek contour palette – So close! How exciting!
That’s such a risk when buying palettes – one shade gets used up whereas the others are untouched. Glad you got at least one shade of that Sleek blush trio is well loved!

I have seen today on starting to look at similar ones that el have released a very similar blush called peach witty which apparently isn’t identical in texture but the colours are, and the packaging is so pretty! Tempted to get my hands on it to compare them side by side before this is all gone! 😅
