5 Haircare Products I’m Trying To Use Up

I was debating calling this post products I’m sick of seeing but I thought that wouldn’t be harsh on the few products in here which I really do actually love. I guess this is kind of a project pan, but with not many  of these products being in a pan that was the wrong name too!

I was trying to collect 10 products I wanted to use up, but ended up with 5 Haircare, 6 Skincare and 6 Makeup so I thought I would dedicate a post to each and do a mini series over the next few days.

1. Tigi Bedhead Ego Boost

  bed-head-ego-boost

I’ve had this in my collection for ages, it’s a leave in treatment which I’ve flittered between using religiously to using every now and again, but it’s been in my hair drawer since uni, so it’s  old and needs to get out. I’ve never noticed a real difference when I’ve used it to when I haven’t – but it’s so close to the end I’m determined to use this up.

2. Lee Stafford Poker Straight Overnight Treatment

Again, this is so close to the end and again is something I’ve had for years. Unlike university where I could get up at what ever time I wanted pretty much and shower first thing in the morning I now have to get up at 6am to deal with the dog and be ready for work, showers in the morning are now a thing of the past, so using an overnight treatment is a no-go. I need to find time to use it up though as it only looks like theres one, maybe two uses left in here.

3. Lee Stafford Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray

Another Lee Stafford product, and not one that I don’t enjoy. I recently found this in my car and I really have no idea how long it had been in there. I think I used to use this pre owning our dog when I would shower in the morning and let my hair dry on the way to work, finishing with a few sprays of this as it was drying.

4. Bleach London Reincarnation Hair Mask

I had to mention at least one product from my shower, which is quite literally overflowing with stuff I’m trying out. My boyfriend fiance (keep making that mistake still 2 months on!) keeps commenting that it looks “a bit full in here” and he’s not wrong. This hair mask has a lot of love from a lot of people, but I just don’t notice what it’s doing. It’s only got a couple of uses left so hopefully I can shift this out of the way soon, to replace it with something else. Who needs a clutter free shower?!

5. Charles Worthington Intense Rescue Melting Balm

Lastly but certainly not least is this Charles Worthington product. People RAVE about this so I’ve skipped out and got it and it’s been used about 4 times in 3 years. I hate how it makes my hair feel afterwards, maybe I’m using too much but my hair feels so weighed down and greasy. I’d probably have used it up by now if it wasn’t so awkward to use as you have to heat the product to get it out. I melt mine in the microwave pre-shower. It’s sat around too long to simply bin it now I’m determined to use it up… and hopefully discover what the fuss is about.

If you’ve tried any of these and loved or loathed them let me know your thoughts, fingers crossed you’ll start to see these cropping up in my empties over the next month or two. Also let me know if there’s any pesky long lasting products you’re trying to use up too!

Up tomorrow will me the makeup edition so keep your eyes peeled.

“I was debating calling this post products Iā€™m sick of seeing …” HA! I have the same conundrum myself. I’m a true sucker for packaging — even products that I really enjoy using become “old hat” after a while. It’s like, “Will I *ever* finish this old thing?” Thanks for playing True Confessions with your readers. I adore your wisdom and your humor, Rachael! XOXOX
