W7 Outlet Store & Boots Haul

I still have some money left over from my Birthday last month and decided to treat myself to some new goodies. I was inspired by my good blog buddy Stash Matters, who recently reviewed a foundation from W7 and it made me realise that I hadn’t ever really appreciated the W7 Outlet store that’s quite literally almost on my doorstep.

W7 Outlet Store

Our W7 Store predominately sells W7 products, but hidden beneath the surface you can find some hidden gems from other brands – I’ve picked up makeup from Korres, eyeshadows from urban decay, lipsticks from benefit and brushes from Becca to name but a few and when I went in this time they even randomly had Victoria’s Secret sprays, but having recently restocked in New York, I couldn’t justify buying them! I picked up mostly some treats from W7, but a few other bits too.

W7 Banana Dreams Loose Powder – £2.99

w7-banana-dreams

I’m not very educated when it comes to banana powders, and I’m presuming this might be a dupe for the famed Ben Nye banana powder, but this was a complete and utter guess in the shop! Made famous recently by Kim K, these powders are designed to counteract redness and give the skin a flawless complexion. Very dubious of this, but willing to give anything a go! If I like it I might even give the original version a go.

W7 Aye Aye Captain Liquid Liner – £1.99

I went to a friends a few weeks ago and we were all comparing makeup bags, and my friend pulled this out and we were comparing it against theBalm Schwing which I’m currently in love with, the balm is really solid and doesn’t have a lot of flex at all, but it has a similar super black pigmentation and dries down pretty matte. Going to compare these and see it compares to my current favourite.

W7 Mega Matte Liquid Lipstick in Sinful – £1.99

In the interest in getting a bit of everything from the brand to try I also picked up a liquid lipstick. To be honest I already wasn’t impressed from swatching it on  my hand in the shop but at £1.99 it was no big loss if it doesn’t perform on the lips either.

W7 HD Foundation – £2.99

Lastly from W7 was the foundation that inspired the trip. Big thanks to everyone in the shop who had pretty much opened and gunked up every bottle. I spent a good chunk of time sifting through the boxes on the shelf attempting to find a colour which would remotely be in the right region!

L’Oreal Single Eyeshadow in Smokey – £3.99

Loreal-smokey-eyeshadow

I picked this up because it reminded me of one of the only MAC paint pots that I own, and it was limited edition so I wanted to do a post seeing whether they were actually comparable! A lovely deep charcoaled gold shade that’s packed with shimmer.

L’Oreal Studio Secrets 287 Eyeshadow – £2.99

From the sub brand of L’Oreal Studio secrets, I decided to pick this up having never tried anything from the studio secrets line before. This is a gorgeous bronzey shade which is specfically labelled for blue eyes, but hey, I’ve always been a rule breaker.

OPI Miss You-niverse – £2.99

I couldn’t resist picking this up, from the Miss Universe collection back in 2013, this has been moved to the uber discounted pile. A lovely dark cream that sits somewhere between a purple and a navy.

Boots

Last up I headed to boots on lunch time, I was beginning to run low on conditioner and was inspired by Rihanna from Robowecop who spoke about this range in her recent vlog. She reminded me at one point just how much I loved Lee Stafford in my teenage years, and since falling in love with their Genius lotion it reminded me to go back and try more from the range.

Lee Stafford Growth Shampoo, Conditioner & Mask – 2 for £10

Rihanna spoke about how she turns to this mask to help getting her hair to grow, and I’ve been suffering with bad breakage, which I now seem to be over the worse over now, but my hair is in need with some recovery, and lets face it, every girl pretty much dreams of having rapunzel style hair on their wedding day and I’m one of them. If this range works out I’ll be continuing with it all year! I’ll report back!

Lee Stafford Shine Spray

Because the items were in 2 for £10, I decided to get this as my extra item. I’ve really enjoyed using one again as blonde hair can easily look dull and shine sprays take me from falling out of love with my colour to back in love with it again.

NYX Creme Liquid Lipsticks in Milan and Translyvania – £5 Each

When I was coming to order the runner up and winners prizes for my giveaway, as I had to order NYX from Boots online – meant I had to get a couple of extra items, you know to make it worth my while going to the shops to get it. I decided to get Transylvania as I’m really into deep plummy shades at the moment and this might get a couple of wears before being put away until Autumn. And Milan, a lovely pink that is really the colour I tend to gravitate towards coming into Spring and Summer. I’m hoping these are as good as NYX’s Copenhagen which I loved!

H&M Beauty

Rose Reverie Body Scrub – £3.99

h-and-m-rose-reverie-exfoliator-body-scrub

Lastly I was doing an online clothes order in H&M having seen a well dressed mannequin in store and wanted everything she was wearing. I started perusing the beauty section and did well to talk myself out of any makeup, but I picked up a body scrub having just finished up Zoella’s Scrubbing Me Softly. First Impressions are this doesn’t smell as nice I was hoping and I didn’t think to check but of course it’s filled with Microbeads which I’m trying to stop using. I will use this up, but I’ll try and find a way to keep as many of these blighters from going down the drain as possible.

Let me know if you’ve tried any of what I’ve hauled, and whether there’s anything here your keen to see reviews on. I have a HUGE backlog of reviews to get through so anything your keen to see first is handy to know ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m hoping they become more widely available here, at the moment we can only order online and I don’t know how some of the shades will suit me!

Soooo jealous of your access to W7 outlet store!
And so amazing they sell Korres, UD and Becca too?! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
What bargains you got! And I hope you like that foundation – which shade did you finally settle on?
Oooh those L’Oreal shadows look absolutely gorgeous – I find L’Oreal limited edition collections so much better than their core stuff.
Too bad about that scrub! Yes, I’ve weaned myself off anythign with the microbeads. And haha did you end up order that whole H&M mannequin’s outfit? ๐Ÿ˜›

Yeah I know, they only sell those brands every now and again which is why I go in hunting for them and disregard w7s own stuff!
The shade I got in the foundation was natural beige, I’ve worn it a few times and it is a little dark so hopefully in a month once my skin has seen some sunshine it’ll be perfect.
I did get the whole outfit, although having to ditch the shirt and take it back which I thought I’d have to do, h&m tops don’t ever stretch over my boobs if there is buttons involved ๐Ÿ˜‚ just need it to warm up a bit to wear the skirt but it’s so beautiful can’t wait to wear it!

The Lee Stafford hair mask is amazing, it completely fixed my dry and damaged hair. I would recommend starting using it directly after a hair cut and you’ll be surprised how long it takes to get split ends lol. I also love W7, I wish there was an outlet by me! Try the ‘in the buff’ pallet – complete dupe for the naked pallets lol. Great haul! Xx

I’ve eyed the In the Buff palettes, but already have the Makeup Revolution Dupes so would be another dupe of those! I am going to book myself in for a haircut and root touch up and was planning on seeing how much I noticed the effects after then! xx

I always love your hauls! I’m a big fan of the Lee Stafford hair growth range, it’s really made a difference to my hair especially the overall condition of it.

It makes my hair really shiny compared to other shampoos and conditioners too! Only used it twice so far but I’m impressed, looking forward to seeing if it helps my hair grow!

That’s an impressive haul! ๐Ÿ˜ I love Nyx colours! Are they as good in lips as they look?

    • March 21, 2016 / 2:07 pm

I haven’t tried either yet, literally picked them up saturday afternoon and had a makeup free day yesterday! This week I’ll hopefully give them a go!

    • March 21, 2016 / 10:16 pm

The one I’ve tried so far has pretty much been my lipstick of choice since getting it. Hoping these will be as good as that one. Hope to get reviews of them up by end of next week so stay tuned ๐Ÿ™‚ xxx
