Look Incredible March 2016 Review

Since the arrival of  my first Look Incredible box last month, I’ve been itching for my second to arrive. It’s quickly risen up the ranks as my favourite piece of monthly mail – a strong statement after only a month – and March’s offering didn’t disappoint either. It only got better.

First up in the box was The Body Shop White Musk Libertine Perfume (RRP £16.99) at a generous 60ml size I was pleased to see this! From what I can tell this is a discontinued or limited edition body shop line as I can’t see it online on their website any more, with notes of cream, orchid and turkish delight, this is floral scent with a warm and musky edge (go figure) all at once. A lovely scent that I think most people would like, it’s not too sweet to be too much for some, and not too musky to be dark for others.

The product which I was least enthused by was OPI Shatter The Scales Polish, a shatter effect polish which has completely fell out of trend, and was not something I was even a fan of when it was at it’s most popular. Listed at £8.99, it’s a value find a little dubious as I’ve seen these in Poundland’s everywhere as people try to rid themselves of the un-favourable effect! I’ll add to the pile of polishes which get pulled out for rare fancy dress needs only!

NARS Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil  in Club Mix (£20) was a welcome addition to already impressive line up, This has a gorgeous shine when I’ve swatched it across my hand and is a lovely deep plum nude that I think would suit just about everybody.

I’ve never heard of the brand Pupa Pupa, but I love the look of the brush on their Energizer Mascara (£19.99) is exactly the type of wand I normally love. A bristle wand that slighly tapers towards the end, I can already see the formula on the brush looks thick and like it will add a lot of volume. I’m aching to try this, but currently have lash extensions on so it’s going to have to wait for a few weeks at least for me try out. In addition to being a mascara this also contains a treatment designed to help stimulate the growth of lashes too, which only piques my curiosity more.

Bare Minerals 4.0 Eyeshadow Quad in The Soundtrack, was the star of the box for me. I’m not entirely sure whether I received this by mistake, as my card lists an eyeshadow duo rather than quad for £20, but online I’ve found this for £29. The shades in this are absolutely gorgeous, completely up  my street – I want to dip my fingers into this and swatch straight away but the obsessive blogger in me is itching to get some better pictures of the palette in daylight first.

With a box of 5 full size beauty items worth over £90 collectively, and at only £18.99 it offers unarguable value for money. Whilst I was only meant to be sticking to one beauty box a month – and I’m currently at two, I think this will be the box to beat. If My Little Box doesn’t step up it’s game this will be my box of choice for the foreseeable future.

Last month I received a touche eclat style concealer which just didn’t twist up or dispense any product, I said I’d report back on what their customer service was like. They were quick to respond and apologetic, they had none of the concealer left, but offered to either to send a YSL lip duo from January’s box or add an extra item into my next box. I opted for the YSL duo and it arrived quickly!

With Look Incredible you sign up for the following month, so if you want to sign up click here now, and if you want to see what last month’s box contained you can take a look at my Look Incredible January 2016 Review here.

Not too bad a box, though I’d be kind of disappointed with the OPI, too! :p Pupa I think is an Italian brand; for some reason it’s sold at a drugstore near me in Canada, but it’s quite pricy so I’ve never tried it. The BareMinerals palette looks like a nice selection of shades! I have one of their palettes but was not enthused by it – might have just been the glittery shades I had in mine, though.

Yeah, I’m guessing this is the new way to get rid of those awful shatters in beauty boxes! I have no idea where to get that Pupa brand, it’s definitely not stocked anywhere mainstream here! I watched a few tutorials with the Bareminerals palette to satisfy my need to touch it, by seeing it in action on the screen instead! It looks marvellous, just beautiful metallics and one matte shade!

Did not know about the nail polish trend. Lol. That’s disappointing to get in a box. Maybe they’re also trying to rid their inventory of things that are no longer in trend, lol. I’m only kidding.

I suspect that might be the case, given I’ve seen opi shatters in the likes of pound land it shows they’re probably trying to get rid of them any way they can do! Horrid trend, you’re lucky you missed it! Ha

Well I hardly do my nails, maybe that’s why I missed it lol. Probably wouldn’t have tried it if I knew haha

So amazing you received a FULL SIZE White Musk Libertine perfume! I just love it.
Eh, I never got into the shattered polish trend myself. I bought a cheap brand to test out and just as I suspected, it looked like my polish was dirty and had been on my nails for 30 days!
What an awesome box – Nars, Pupa AND Bare Minerals?!
That’s good they offered the lip duo as a replacement. 🙂

I know! The only thing I haven’t tried yet (if we’re ignoring that OPI monster) is the mascara as I currently have lash extensions on – but everything else from the box I absolutely LOVE, not even this is nice… I fully love everything. Such a good box it’s making everything else look bad! I bought one OPI shatter after the trend had already passed about 2 years ago from a poundland and hated it just as I always thought I would too!
