Beauty #TBT – Inglot Eyeshadow Palette

I’ve been trying to get this #BeautyTBT up for a while, I’ve had this post partly photographed since November and just haven’t managed to get around to actually finishing it up. My Inglot Eyeshadow palette is one of my favourite items in my collection and it’s not one which gets as much love as it should.

When I first started watching the beauty YouTube community in 2009/2010 and was making the transition from being someone who wore makeup, to someone who was border-line obsessed with makeup. Inglot was making waves in eye shadow arena, and pretty much any one who I was watching was talking about them. I vividly remember watching XSparkage who still makes videos now and I think has the best eye shadow skills out there was raving about these eye shadows – I had to eagerly wait to when I went to London (as that’s where the only stores are in the UK) and no online ordering – still to this day you can’t online order in the UK.

The Inglot palettes are completely customisable and I think are one of the original brands who offered this type of customisation – or at least brands I remember (other than MAC). When I bought this 10 palette I was a university student, who was going out 2/3/4 times a week – and picked a mix of neutrals as well as crazy ass bright colours which I used to wear more often than I do now on nights out. Back when I bought this matte eye shadow was less of a lusted after thing – especially for me, so they’re all shimmer and metallic shades. Whilst I don’t reach for that bottom row regularly, I do reach for it, you need so little shadow though that it looks almost untouched, if I do need any crazy bright shades for nights out or fancy dress this will always be the first I reach for to see if there’s a shade I want to use, because they’re guaranteed to stay in place for as long as you need it.

You can definitely notice which row I opt for more than the other – especially one shade in particular! These are the best eye-shadows I have ever used and that’s not an over exaggeration in the slightest. They are the most buttery textured, easiest to blend, least amount of fall out and overall best pigmentation out of anything. The swatches below are just on my arm, no primer – and just one light swipe in the shadow and just one swipe on my arm.

In terms of palette design this is by far my favourite out of any palette. The design itself isn’t anything particularly inspirational. With a clouded acrylic top – it would be nice if this was clear instead, if you have multiples of these you could then see what shade you have in which palette. But this connects onto a matte acrylic black bottom connected by super strong magnets in the corner. There’s no extra bulk so it makes it good for travelling, and it’s really strong too and stands no chance in breaking. If you have multiple palettes you can connect them on top of each other so they stack perfectly neat (an OCD suffers dream), and you can even remove the lids and just have the bases stuck together with one lid on top meaning they’re even more streamlined.

I’ve never been back to Inglot since buying this, mainly because the stores are in Westfield in London (massive shopping centres for those who don’t know) which usually involve at least half an hour of travelling across town to get to them as they’re not very central. I hope one day to go back and get some mattes and some a different array of neutrals, or some more wearable shades to compliment what I have already.

The range of course extends out into everything you’d expect from a beauty brand – I hope when I eventually go back to get some blushes too.

Have you tried Inglot before?

I also have a post on the Inglot Freedom eyeshadow palette. I have some pretty neutral shades and list the color numbers if you are interested. I love their shadows too! They are among my favorites next to Urban Decay. You hace some very oretty shades in your palettes. I wish you had listed the shadow numbers, if we wanted to find a particular shadow. Nide post! Great pictures! Which camera do you use? Thanks!

These pics were taken back in November on my old camera – Panasonic Lumix G2, I know the pans are meant to have stickers on the bottom saying which is which right? Maybe it’s a UK thing but mine doesn’t have any shade numbers at all – I bought it so long ago that I have no idea what they are unfortunately.

Too bad. I couldn’t get my pans out, so I had to go online to look up all my shadows. Although, I had bought mine not too long ago, so I remembered a few of the numbers when i saw them online. IDK if that helps? How do you get them out of the palette? With the lid or a spatula? Thanks!

you need a pin to get in the corner, that’s all that will fit into the space. I’ll try and look but some of the colours are so similar I think I’ll struggle do differentiate!

Sorry I didn’t see this message first. I never would’ve thought of using a pun. Thanks for the tip and the warning.

It’s funny that you’ve shared this coz I’ve been wanting to share a post about Inglot too! I love them a lot and I regret buying only two shades.. They are worth every penny to me..πŸ‘πŸ»

They are, I was just looking at how much they are and they’re really not that expensive for the quality of them, it’s the palette that makes it a little pricey, but I have a few others that could easily be filled with some Inglot shades. I want to get back to an inglot ASAP now!

Haha!! It took me almost an hour to pick the shades that I want while I visited their store in Manhattan couple years back and I only left with 2 shades!! Haha (what a shame) it’s just soo many to choose from.. Their blushes are gorgeous too!! 😊

        • March 3, 2016 / 5:25 pm

I did see Inglot when I was in new york, and was almost tempted to go in – but knew I’d be in there for a long time choosing so decided not to! I’ll have to get myself across to the two stores we have sometime soon so I can get some more!

I love the bright colors! They look super vibrant!😍😍😍 I own a smll quad I created with 4 shades πŸ™‚

Look at those blues and purples! Wow, I’m so impressed by how much pan is showing on your palette. I never did purchase the large format palette – only a 5 pan and then a quad. I wanted something that I could travel with. All of the colours I have from Inglot are neutrals, haha. We now have an Inglot store in Toronto – I’ve been there a couple of times and have only bought nail polishes and some brushes. I’m thinking of getting Inglot blushes to try out next.

Great color pay off and I love the customizable palettes. Too bad they don’t have an online store or even some more high street sales points.

I completely forgot about Ingot! I watch XSparkage a lot too and I remember now that she raved about them all the time! I’d quite like to give them a go! Maybe when I’m in London next I’ll pop into Westfield. I love how pigmented they are! X

I might have to do the same! I’m from the Kent area so I don’t get to go to London often!

I just got into Inglot and am obsessed with them! Your palette is gorgeous, especially that green.

I think it’s so unusual to have such a pigmented pastel shade!

I’ve picked up three more peachy tones including 2 mattes since this post but still haven’t used them, must crack them out!
