Collective Haul: Work, TK Maxx & Boots

I’ve had a few items over the past almost month which I’ve been collecting, not enough for a haul by themselves, but I had enough collectively to now share! Let’s pretend I didn’t photograph these so long ago, that there’s not still Baubles in the background.

The Friday before Christmas we had a small cosmetics sale at work with some incredible discounts to be had there were a few things I just couldn’t say no to, especially if you saw my little life update, you’ll know that I have a new job starting Tuesday, so it will be the last Black Friday style fighting in the workplace for me.

I picked up 2 Ready To Wear Powders, one in medium, one in light (the light was for my sister), I’d bought these in a sale previously and really liked it so got another as I’ve used it up. I also bought the Ready To Wear Brow Pen – there was no sample of this so I gambled with it, but it was too light so passed it to my sister. Finally from the Ready to Wear was the serum foundation, I already have this in light Medium, but also got it in medium as I really like it, I’ve got a written review for this, but never got round to photographing it on myself, so now I have a colour which currently matches me! All of the Ready To Wear items were just £2 and were between £12 and £22 each originally – so a great saving on those.

I also picked up a hair heat protector from Andreas Wendt, I’d previously been given a bottle of this to try to review from work and liked it, so picked up another – again £2. And lastly also £2 and the star of the show was this Butter London Lips and Tips set, containing a matching lipgloss and nail polish in the shade ‘Shambolic’ – the lipgloss is pretty nasty and sticky, but I bought it for the polish, and when they’re normally £14 each and I got one for £2, you can’t really grumble!

Whilst stopping for my last few Christmas Gifts we popped into TK Maxx and naturally I gravitated towards the beauty aisles and got a couple of items. The Olivia Palermo Nail Polish for Ciate in the shade ‘Nantucket’ is one I had been eyeing this beautiful boxed polish – but the high price tags have put me off as I have a hit and miss relationship with Ciate, this was reduced from £17.99 to £5.99 – a much more palatable price! Nantucket is a gorgeous red coral which is perfect coming into Spring and Summer, and I struggle to think of a similar colour in my collection at all. The second and final purchase was the ‘Multi Tasking Brush’ from Look Good Feel Great, I’ve been eyeing these for a while online and when I saw and felt this in store it had to me mine! I’ve got a similar brush that I bought is Sephora and I’ve been looking for a similar brush but none have been as dense as my Sephora original, this was reduced from £12.99 to £6.99 so a good price too!

Between Christmas and New Year I went to watch the ‘Good Dinosaur’ (go see it, it was amazing!) with my sister and we had about an hour before our boyfriends got out of seeing star wars (the second time for mine!). So we had a time for a little shopping which meant a stop off in Boots – I had a mini ‘Bloggers made Me do it’ haul (and I do mean mini following my limiting my spending goal from my Fresh Start: 2016 post), Rhianna from Robowecop talked about this Lee Stafford Coco Loco Blow and Go Lotion, designed to smooth as you blow dry – Rihanna said how much it helped detangle her hair when brushing, I need any help I can get in that department so I thought it was worth ago, Ive already reviewed this (yup that’s just how long post has been put off! Gabriella from Velvet Ghost has spoken a few times recently about the Bleach London Reincarnation Mask, and swears by it, I haven’t had any hair masks for a while so thought it would be best to give this one a go. Lastly I picked up a back-up of my Maybelline Age Rewind concealer, I was going to resist repurchasing it, and I was hanging on to my last few uses – but after hearing Miss Budget Beauty talk about it in her yearly favourites, I was like – I need another as soon as possible!

That serum foundation looks good – I’ve been wanting to try the ones from Perricone.
Aww will you miss the perk of getting discount makeup at your old job? 😛
I love TJMaxx (our version is called Winners) beauty finds!!! I’ve been visiting Winners pretty often since my No-Buy is over – have been buying a few bits with every visit. I’ll post a haul coming up too.
Good luck with your new job on Tuesday!

I will but it’s not a reason to stay (plus I’m sure I can ask my friends who still work there to pick me up stuff!) thank you it’s come up so quick 😄
