Love Me Beauty December 2015 Unboxing

I’d been contemplating a break from the Love Me Beauty service as I felt like I was seeing the same brands and items crop up again and again. I decided to give them one last try for December – as then I would have been subscribed to the service for a year. (And a whole year is better than 11 months right?) But I was interested to see what choices were going to be in this month’s box – but I must say that I was thrilled with the choices, and it’s been the first since August that I was itching to arrive.

The old blurb – if you don’t know how Love Me Beauty works, you have 60 credits to spend in their boutique each month, items are normally 10 or 20 credits and you choose everything that goes into your box. The boxes mainly feature makeup, hair, bath and skincare – and this month there was even a few pieces of jewellery within the boutique. I had 30 extra credits this month from people using my referral code (if you want to subscribe, I have a code which will give you 30 extra credits in your first box at the end) – so bare in mind I have a little extra to the norm – but I’ve put how much everything cost in credits so you get an idea of what you receive!

I mainly picked skincare this month – but there were choices from Nails Inc, Neal and Wolf and also lots of makeup. I just decided to go crazy on skincare!

Nuxe Gentle Toning Lotion with Rose Petals (10 Credits)

I’ve not tried much skincare from Nuxe and was eager to make some picks from the range as I never see anything but good things spoken about them. I’ve always used regular toners – never a toning lotion before so I’m interested to see whether this agrees or disagrees more than a regular toner. This smells so good – I find rose scents can be a little insipid when fake, but this smells very natural, like a walk through a rose garden!

Nuxe Rêve de Miel® Hand and Nail Cream (10 Credits)

I’ve eyed this up for the past 2 months, but decided that I just didn’t need another in my stash, but I recently saw anne from Doves and Roses review it and decided that I’d get one to try as she liked it. I’m a big fan of the Reve de Miel lip balm so I’m interested to see what this compares like from the same line.

Nuxe Gentle Exfoliating Gel with Rose Petals (10 Credits)

Another product I got because I haven’t tried a lot from the brand, this smells as divine as the toning lotion. I’m curious as to what this exfoliating gel will do, its going straight in my shower to be put to the test.

Therapie Roques O’Neil Himalayan Detox Salts (20 Credits)

I’ve been wanting to try some bath salts before – and I’ve heard great things about Himalayan sea salt, I’ve not heard of this brand before so I’m interested to see how it fairs. I have a mountain of Christmas Lush products and a bath which has a crack in it – so goodness knows when I’ll get round to trying it.

Monu Hydrating Mask (10 Credits)

After my successful experience with the OZ naturals hydrating face mask I decided to try another to compare from Monu. Monu is a brand which crops up a lot on LMB but I’ve never tried much from them as I’ve always felt the items haven’t been quite right for me, so I’m excited to have one to try now.

Love Me Beauty Charcoal Bracelet with Rose Quartz Stone (20 Credits)

LMB have done some jewellery before, but I missed out on their first items – so decided with my extra 30 to see what it’s like. They’re nice as pieces, similar to what you’d expect from Topshop for example, this is a pretty drawstring bracelet that I can see me wearing a lot for work.

Love Me Beauty Set of Silver Circle and Triangle Stud Earrings (10 Credits)

Lastly I picked up some studs in triangle and circle shapes, with a simple silver hammered design these will be good to just leave in my second holes and go with what ever earrings I pair with them.

I’m still not sure how I feel about the service at the moment, I think If you are new you’ll see lots of brands and products to try and pick – but I don’t feel like I’m getting fantastic value at the moment, and I’m picking things for the sake of it. AlsoI was expecting the NUXE products to be full size – so I was a disappointed to see that they were all quite small samples on arrival – had I of had the ‘regular amount of credits I think I would have been quite disappointed. Should you want to subscribe use my code ‘4AI3UB’ at checkout to get 30 extra credits!

I absolutely love that bracelet and the rose petal exfoliating gel sounds amazing! I have to agree with you, I’ve been reading all your posts on this box and it’s the first one in a while I’ve liked the look of too! xx

That’s a great box! I am addicted to subscription boxes and wondered if love me beauty was worth while. I like to idea that you get to choose 😊

I would defiantly say it’s worthwhile, you’re the master of your own destiny so you can pick what you’re interested in. The boxes are normally pretty balanced between hair, skin, makeup and nails and normally new introductions will be in the box for a month or two so if you miss something one month, it will usually still be there the next month! The only thing I wish was that there was new brands more often as a year on I feel like I’ve seen the same brand 2 or 3 times over the past year xx

I’ve not loved any of Nuxe’s skincare that I’ve tried: toner, micellar water, cleanser… they all just felt soapy and left a residue on my skin. I hope these will work for you! The only thing that I love from Nuxe is their multi-purpose oil.
I’d be interested in hearing more about the Monu Hydrating Mask.

Subscribed to this myself and love that I get a choice! Compared to other boxes which are a pure surprise.
