Mini Nail Polish Direct Haul

I didn’t indulge in much Black Friday shopping – I don’t know about anyone else in the UK but I felt that the deals were much better last year. But when I saw an email from NPD with 15% off everything on the site I decided to place a little order as there were a few polishes that I was eyeing from the China Glaze ‘Cheers’ holiday collection and was planning on ordering anyway. So here’s my little Nail Polish Direct Haul.

I Soiree I Didn’t Do That

I Soiree I Didn’t Do It & Don’t Get Elfed Up

Unfortunately there were 2 shades I wanted from the collection which were already sold up – but actually now I’ve read reviews of them I’m actually quite glad that they were sold out as whilst they look beautiful, both were chunky glitters which weren’t pleasant to apply from what I’ve read. The one shade I did have my eye on was I Soiree I Didn’t do it, which actually now it’s arrived reminds me of a slightly more blue toned version of my favourite ever China Glaze,  Atlantis – that one has pure silver holographic glitter, where as I Soiree has a few flecks of purple, blue and red – so of course that makes it TOTALLY different.

Don’t Get Elfed Up

As I was a bit disappointed I couldn’t get the other 2 I wanted I googled other swatches from the collection and stumbled across this beauty called Don’t Get Elfed Up – a gorgous black base packed with teal shimmer/microglitter (I can’t quite tell which it is yet!), which in the bottle as you turn it it has an orangey/purple duochrome effect – super pretty, unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be translating on my nail wheel, but hopefully it might pick up in daylight more

I did not know we could get color club easily in the UK – I think the collection is new to NPD as all the polishes were in the new arrivals section and I’m sure I’ve never seen them before. I’ve rediscovered my love of holos in the past few weeks and I’ve been eyeing Color Club ones for quite some time. One that’s been forever on my to get list is ‘Beyond‘ a beautiful charcoal/black holo shade, I’ve said many times that I love black nails but I’m not a massive fan of them on me, so anything with some multicoloured glitter makes me more enthusiastic – and I don’t have a dark holo like this in any shade at all.

Harp On It

I had a fair few choices of silvery shades but decided to go for the whitest silver ‘Harp On It‘ – I probably shouldn’t have picked a silver at all as I have at least 3 of these already but I think this is the best so far, maybe a battle of the silver holo post is in order! There were a few more Color Club shades I was also interested in but were also sold out – but I’m happy I have two to try, and I’m sure I’ll be investing in more. I think I’ll get a lot of wear out of the two I’ve got especially as party season is here!
