Well goodbye cardboard and hello tin! You could be mistaken for not realising that this is a beauty box with what accompanies this months box! I think immediately the My Little Sweet Box might be my favourite box design to date, i’m always in need of a place to store new fiddly kitchen gadgets in so a tin is already going to come in very handy!
There was no print in this months box, but we can live with that because of how lovely the tin is. The magazine this month contains some tasty looking recipes, and oddly a giant poster of a food blogger who I’ve never heard of… just in case I want to put that up on the wall!
LIFESTYLE items
1/ Jar Decals
Tea, Coffee, Pasta and Rice are all items which are covered in this little pack of clear sticker decals to jazz up your glass jars! I do store most of my dry goods in these types of container, but most are ridged or patterned glass so I can’t really use these, but be assured that I’d be labelling away already if I could!
2/ Chefs Apron
A sweet little half housewife apron, for pottering around the kitchen in, I don’t actually own an apron like this, with a handy little pocket to store things in (your phone) whilst being a culinary goddess.
*Does not include wooden spoon
BEAUTY ITEMS
My Little Beauty Sweet Hand Cream
Argh another handcream! Considering I had a hand cream in last months My Little Box, it was a little annoying to receive another (especially as I have a stash as every beauty box seems to have given a hand cream for the past few months) This is a very thick ‘marshmallowy’ texture, it has a very light scent – I think citrus, but a slightly snuffly bunged up nose is clouding my judgement on that!
Yves Rocher So Elixir Perfume Sample
I’ve had a few Yves Rocher items in other beauty boxes, and I’m not unhappy to see another as they’re generally nice little products. This isn’t my favourite type of fragrance (it’s far to sophisticated for me), but reminds me of Chanel Chance or No 5, the types of fragrances I used to wear when I was 15 (going on 35). It is a fragrance I like, and will use – but it’s not something I’d buy for myself.
Ainy Un Songe d’Or Beauty Oil
A multi-tasking oil for your hair, body or face. From Eco Brand Ainy, who sourced the best ingredients from the Andes and Amazon rainforest, its an interesting scent that’s half sweet, half spicey. It has a high price tag (£29), and whilst the packaging is pretty with its geometric/aztec style pattern the plastic is a bit flimsy and thin which would make me a bit nervous about using this for travel, it’s much thinner than what I’m used to using too so interested to see how this performs. I don’t like oils personally for my body or face, so I’ll be saving this for when I next need to crack out a new hair oil.
And let’s just say, that the tin is being put to good use already…
