Bee Good 2 in 1 Cleanser Review

When I was given this sample of the Bee Good Honey & Propolis 2 in 1 Cleanser (that’s a mouthful!) at the Bloggers Festival in September I decided to save it for my holiday. A perfect travel sized companion to get a real test of whilst being away – and actually it far outlasted my trip and it’s pretty much lasted me the entire month.

The Bee Good Cream Cleanser is very similar in texture and appearance to the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, but with a slight tackiness that’s hard to describe. It does have a light but natural scent – I was expecting this to smell like honey, but I’d say it’s more of a waxy smell, it’s not the nicest scent but because it’s so light it’s not hard to ignore either.

The Propolis in the cleanser helps heal and repair, increase skin renewal as well as being antibacterial and rich in vitamins B, C and E, which is pretty much sounds like the perfect qualities of a cleanser – right?

In the first week I was using this I did start getting spots around my jawline, immediately I thought – oh it’s the cleanser, but actually now on reflection I think it might have been the constant sweatiness of being in humid 40 degree heat, possibly also paired with some hormonal breakouts too.

I carried on using this exclusively on my return from holiday and my skin completely cleared up, I noticed the spots which were still lingering around my jaw started clearing up quickly and the skin appeared to heal much quicker than it would normally. Makeup is removed easily with this – I normally like to do cleanse in the shower because I’m lazy, but find I need to stand and watch myself in the mirror as I need to properly massage into the eye area and pay attention to making sure I get it all over.

By week 3 and 4, I started running low so started using this every other day to increase the longevity of the product as I didn’t want to say goodbye. I haven’t had a single spot in the now almost 3 weeks weeks since being home (wow where did that time go?!), I put it down to this. My skin has been far less oily too, to the point where most mornings I don’t even bothered to powder my foundation as I don’t need it!

You’ll see this in my empties at the weekend, but this deserved getting it’s own full review. I’m curious to try more from the Bee Kind line now too. I don’t need to purchase any cleansers as I have about 6 I really need to use up, but as soon as I finish all cream cleansers in my collection I’ll have an excuse to repurchase this again – if I can resist that long!

Have you tried Bee Good?

Thanks Amanda – really is good and affordable and comparable to more expensive things I’ve tried, think you can only get it on their website and waitrose but it’s worth the trip! 🙂
