Model Co More Brows Review

I’ve never been a brows person – always saying ‘they don’t need any more definition’, for years I’ve hate my brows as they are a very dark brown, almost black and it limits the hair colours I dare to dye my hair (although did go blonde and had a fringe cut in so you couldn’t tell it was such an un-natural shade for me!).

One of the other reasons I hate my brows is because of the term ‘eyebrows are sisters not twins’ – because sometimes I’m left wondering if mine are even related. I’m fully aware that my brows are wonky, one is about half a centimetre out of where the other one sits and the arch isn’t identical on either side, and unless I opt for super thin brows which I don’t love, especially on myself there’s no way for me to bridge the gap. Because my brows are so dark I think when they’re overly drawn on they look like a solid un-natural block of colour on my face.

This isn’t me giving you a sassy one eyebrow lift – because I can’t do that!

Since about Christmas I’ve been using a pencil from L’Oreal which I received in a beauty box, it’s not something which I use every day – but it is the first thing that I’d found that was a colour which matched up well and didn’t look ridiculous when I was trying to create the illusion that they were more even. The process of doing that every day makes me want to pull my teeth out as I find it so tedious, and over the past few month’s I’ve been looking into more extreme measures including surgery and permanent makeup (aka tattooed brows) to even up the wonkiness.

I picked up ModelCo More Brows last month as part of my LMB box and it’s put aside all those thoughts I was having…

ModelCo More Brows doesn’t make my eyebrows perfect, and no one is going to be saying any time soon that mine are on fleek! But I’m so much happier with them than I was before. The tiny brush on this is easy to brush through my brows which helps add volume to the slight sparseness I have towards my nose, without it looking un-natural. The colour tone to this is slightly ashy which is good, as my brows aren’t very warm toned. The tiny brush on this allows me to smooth and manipulate the shape of my brows a little to help even out the shape of them. I’ve worked hard at reshaping my brows over the past 2 months or so – which has helped.

Pictures from past brows where I’ve been wearing the product:

They’re still not perfect, but I’m now at least not considering tattooing them with how they now look, hopefully I’ll get there completely soon!

Do you have wonky brows? What are you HG brow products?

Oh my gosh this product looks so similar to the Benefit Gimme Brow! It really fills out your brows so nicely too 🙂 I also suffer with wonky brows haha one is naturally much higher than the other one, i’m slowly sorting it out, plucking a few hairs a week haha and it’s getting better 🙂

Same! I don’t want to move too quickly with it and make it worse than they currently are! It’s a long process but they are getting better! Yes it is – I knew there was a product similar but I couldn’t think of what it was 🙂 Thanks for stopping by! x

Wonky and too dark eye brows are a real problem. Everyone always assumes I dye my hair because my eyebrows are just so much darker than my hair 🙁
This sounds like a great way to keep them in check though 🙂 I have something similar from Nars.

I have really sparse brows so brow mascaras like this just don’t cut it because there’s no hairs to even grab onto! I use Shu Uemura’s pencil to help create an illusion of hairs. I also like the really fine marker type brow pens. I have honestly considered brow tattooing – it’s a less permanent option that’s called brow embroidery and it lasts only up to 2 yrs – it doesn’t penetrate as deep into the skin as traditional tattooing.

Ooh that sounds interesting I’ve not heard that term coined here, I will take a look at that for if the novelty of having something which has made them moderately better wears off, I am scared about permanent tattooing as I age as I don’t want them to look so obviously wonky as one side moves compared to another!
