I’ve never been a brows person – always saying ‘they don’t need any more definition’, for years I’ve hate my brows as they are a very dark brown, almost black and it limits the hair colours I dare to dye my hair (although did go blonde and had a fringe cut in so you couldn’t tell it was such an un-natural shade for me!).
One of the other reasons I hate my brows is because of the term ‘eyebrows are sisters not twins’ – because sometimes I’m left wondering if mine are even related. I’m fully aware that my brows are wonky, one is about half a centimetre out of where the other one sits and the arch isn’t identical on either side, and unless I opt for super thin brows which I don’t love, especially on myself there’s no way for me to bridge the gap. Because my brows are so dark I think when they’re overly drawn on they look like a solid un-natural block of colour on my face.
This isn’t me giving you a sassy one eyebrow lift – because I can’t do that!
Since about Christmas I’ve been using a pencil from L’Oreal which I received in a beauty box, it’s not something which I use every day – but it is the first thing that I’d found that was a colour which matched up well and didn’t look ridiculous when I was trying to create the illusion that they were more even. The process of doing that every day makes me want to pull my teeth out as I find it so tedious, and over the past few month’s I’ve been looking into more extreme measures including surgery and permanent makeup (aka tattooed brows) to even up the wonkiness.
I picked up ModelCo More Brows last month as part of my LMB box and it’s put aside all those thoughts I was having…
ModelCo More Brows doesn’t make my eyebrows perfect, and no one is going to be saying any time soon that mine are on fleek! But I’m so much happier with them than I was before. The tiny brush on this is easy to brush through my brows which helps add volume to the slight sparseness I have towards my nose, without it looking un-natural. The colour tone to this is slightly ashy which is good, as my brows aren’t very warm toned. The tiny brush on this allows me to smooth and manipulate the shape of my brows a little to help even out the shape of them. I’ve worked hard at reshaping my brows over the past 2 months or so – which has helped.

They’re still not perfect, but I’m now at least not considering tattooing them with how they now look, hopefully I’ll get there completely soon!
