MAC Morange – Swatch & Review

I had to refer back to my ‘A Mini MAC Haul’ post to see when exactly I picked this up (May!) – it’s laid relatively untouched all summer as Orange lipstick is not one I’ve ever really tried before, and lies out of my comfort zone of bright pinks, warm nudes and berry shades.

My MAC Morange was from the limited edition ‘Wash and Dry’ collection at the start of the year, so we can all admire the beautiful packaging which is sadly no longer available. Whilst LE, Morange is a classic permanent shade so you can pick this up in MAC’s normal Black packaging.

I have reached for this an handful of times over the summer, and usually when I’ve been staying at home as I’m still really unsure of the colour on me. But judging that aside, this is an amplified creme formula is beautiful and creamy, it’s opaque but because it’s such a bright colour I did find I needed to blot and apply as second layer as it tended to wear quite quickly in the centre without.

Like most MAC lipsticks, I didn’t find the length of wear to be anything extraordinary, usually lasting until I ate and would need to reapply after, but a good 3-4 hours on the lips otherwise. The Amplified Creme formula is super nourishing and the finish is quite shiny without it feeling like it’s going to slip and slide all over the place.

I’m going to take this on holiday with me (eek, now only a week away!) and see if I like it better on a more tanned complexion (at least I hope)!

What do you think of MAC Morange? Do you own it?
