Cohorted September 2015 Beauty Box – Unboxing

I’ve been trying to get my hands on a Cohorted Beauty Box forever, unlike a beauty subscription Cohorted release these boxes every month for pre-order and a few at the start of the month, with just a limited amount available for both. you have to be there quickly to get one. I’ve missed out by a day every time I’ve been to check the website. cohorted-september-2015

These boxes from what I had seen had been going a little downhill (for my personal preferences at least) so was a little dubious as to whether I was going to feel like I had got my money out of this box which is slightly more pricey than average at £19.99 including P&P.

Luckily this month I wasn’t disappointed with what I received….

The star of the show has to be a full size The Balm Nude’tude Palette! I have been eyeing this for a while but really talked myself out of this because I have quite a lot of neutral palettes now. But oh my, I’m glad to have got the box, just for this. I’ve restrained swatching for this post as I want to do a full review of this and swatch it properly (this also means that I’ve had to restrain using this palette this morning). But this is £35 – with the box being £19.99, you’ve got your money back straight away! I’ve only ever had 1 small sample sized product from the Balm but it’s been a brand I’ve wanted to try more from,

Another the Balm product is a little mini size of their Put a Lid on it Primer.I tend to use eyeshadow sticks as a base now a days as I find it just lasts better for me, but again no quarms on this product either. A nice little size for keeping for nights away and weekends – I’ll keep this for my holiday to save taking anything full size.

Gucci Premier Shower Gel  – coming with a price tag of £7 for 50ml, I’m not sure I would actually pay that. This does have a properly ‘perfumey’ scent and smells quite luxurious reminding me of rich sophisticated fragrances, reminiscent of Tom Ford and Chanel. I’d already bought a full size shower gel for my holidays as I had ran out of miniatures, but I’ll take this with me instead. Or This…

A little bit weird that they chose to include 2 shower gels in one box – I’ve never really understood the price tag attached to Molton Brown products, but never the less this is another pleasant smelling shower gel. Not decided which of these will come on holiday yet – but possibly this one in ‘Seamoss‘ which is a bit beachy smelling, so nice for the (hopefully) baking heat of Egypt. I’m not sure that this is full size, but the card seems to indicate that it is – Would 100% not pay £10 for this 50ml sample.

Last but certainly not least is another full sized sample of Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Walkyrie worth £19, something which almost covers the cost of the box too. I love that this isn’t in a really bizarre or unusual colour (which you do seem to get when you get these high end brands in a beauty box). A beautiful rosey nude I’m going to wear the c.r.a.p out of this I can tell! Silky and smooth feeling, I think this might quickly become a new favourite. Expect a review soon!

That’s it! An astounding value for money box I’m sure you’ll agree! I’m so tempted to try and get my hands on October’s box, but I’m currently swimming in products which I haven’t reviewed yet – so I think I should probably hold off for a month so I can play catch up before I get more new stuff (hopefully I don’t see a review and get annoyed at that decision).

The October box will be able to be preordered on 15th September – if you want to get your hands on it!

Have you tried cohorted before?

The palette alone is worth the subscription and I have to say that Nars pencil also looks really pretty πŸ™‚

That’s so good! I’ve tried a few you beauty boxes but got bored of always missing out on the best picks of them…. Do you get to pick with these or do you just get what’s given? That box is amazing!!! & for Β£20 so good… I’ll definitely have to look into trying to get my hands on one of the future ones ☺️

No choices and as far as I’ve seen no variations in the boxes, everyone gets the same shades etc so you don’t feel cheated by not getting there immediately! Love me beauty is a good one to consider if you like picking items – they don’t tend to run out of products super quick so there’s no awkward rush! X
