I was super excited when I arrived home last night to find that my favourite person (my postie) had left my Love Me Beauty Box in my shed, as I had been itching for it to arrive after making my selections last week (as I think I made excellent selections!)
For those who aren’t aware, you’re allocated credits per month and you choose how to spend them credits per product varies (although mine were all the same amount this month). It seems as though LMB changed their credits system the day after I placed my order – and I’m not sure how the new system works quite yet. But I had additional credits this month from people using my referral code – so bare in mind this is a little larger than the norm (although I think it was 12 credits instead of 9).
ARK Age Prepare Skin Purifying Masque (2 Credits – RRP £25)
ARK Age Prepare Skin Vitality Moisturiser (2 Credits – RRP £25)
ARK Age Prepare Skin Refining Exfoliator (2 Credits – RRP £28)
ARK is a brand which I have heard of, but have never really seen any reviews or heard much else about the brand. They had 2 different ranges on there and I picked up everything I could from the Age Prepare line (the more youthful). As you might know, I love a great face mask – so that was an obvious choice, I also needed a new exfoliator as I have been without for a few weeks, and I decided to pick up the moisturiser too so I could properly try out this brand. Yet to try out anything yet, but I can’t wait!
ModelCo Shadow Sticks (Set of Four) (2 credits – RRP £23)
I’m not 100% sure on the value of these, but I know ModelCo is a more pricey range. A Set of 4 mini shades with very wearable colours. I have been loving shadow sticks as a base for eyeshadow as they tend to stay in place all day and I don’t need to use a primer. I suppose in total these would maybe be the equivalent of 1 full sizes shadow stick (which is why I think £23 seems pricey). These are a nice creamy, pigmented formulation, that’s blendable if you work quickly – then they locked into place on my arm after applying that I had to get scrub to remove. I love the look of Portofino which is an unusual brown/bronze/cranberry shade which will be gorgeous in autumn (if it lasts that long!)
Left to right: Portofino, Costa Rica, Purple Haze, St Barts
Shien Cosmetics Silk Matte Lipstick in ‘Wild Peony’ & ‘Red lantern’ (2 Credits each – RRP $18 each approx £11.50)
I saw swatches of Wild Peony Online and loved how it looked and also opted for Red Lantern which is a lovely ruby red, that’s not too bright and not too dark. The packaging of these are beautiful and feel really high quality. Swatching on my arm, these were very pigmented and very creamy. They felt very reminiscent of a new MAC lipstick as I opened as they have the same trademark vanilla scent. Very excited to try these out!
Total Box Value = £124 – Cost of Box £10 + Postage
This has hands down been one of my favourite boxes so far from Love Me Beauty, and it’s offered unbeatable value this month. If you want to check out my past reviews click here. If you would like to subscribe please use my referral code of ‘4AI3UB‘ at the checkout, it will give you extra credits in your first box (although I don’t know how many now due to the credit system change – please let me know if you use it!)
