My Little Road Trip Box – July 2015’s My Little Box

OOh Well here we are again, with quite possibly my favourite piece of monthly mail. July 2015’s My Little Box is a special travel edition. With bits and bobs to keep you busy, organised, and of course looking beautiful on your travels. So here is My Little Road Trip Box – a delightful “little box”.          my-little-road-trip-unboxing

Firstly, let’s talk about the box, I think Kanako the My Little Box illustrator has out-done herself with this one. I love the map around the side, totally adorable. Love love love.

Opening the box we’re always greeted with a beautiful illustration. I’m building a gallery wall in my hall and this one will make it on. As I love the little message on this, something I am trying to do is let go of things and don’t let my problems weigh me down, so this will be a reminder every time I walk down the stairs every day!

1/ Travel Organiser

I don’t actually own a travel organiser, and as the most clumsy/most likely to misplace something/most likely to spill something I really should have one. This is lovely with a zip up pocket on the front cover and lots of handy wallets on the inside this will be super helpful to have for travelling.

2/ Postcard 2.0 & Bic Pen

A tiny notebook in the form of a letter, the idea behind this is that you send someone your memories from a holiday or trip. A very cute idea, but something I think would also be nice is to send it to yourself. There’s 10  or so little pages in here to keep a little diary of what you’ve done and it would be a lovely idea to remind yourself of a wonderful holiday you’ve returned from vacationing (and probably have the post holiday blues) after a few weeks of travelling through the postal system from abroad.

Beauty

1/ Temporary Metallic Tattoos

I know these are a bit of a love/hate item, they’ve been in just about every beauty box lately. Personally I think they’re really fun and look nice layered with bangles and bracelets. I have some from my Birchbox which I was planning to wear when I went to watch Taylor Swift in Hyde Park at the end of June but completely forgot. So I need to remember to

2/ Essie Nail Polish in Roarrrrange

I love a good orange, and actually, I don’t have any oranges from Essie, so this fills a ‘gap’ in my collection. I believe this is now part of Essie’s permanent collection after being released last summer. Super excited to try this out as it’s a lovely shade.

3/ My Little Beauty Sorbet D’Ete Apres Solieil

Again, how lovely is this packaging? I didn’t notice the apres soleil at the start (and if you have poor francais skills like me – that’s after sun!). This a gel after sun with a lovely scent, it reminds me of parma violets. Will keep this for a holiday which I’m planning (don’t tell the boyfriend he hasn’t been informed of my plans for a grecian getaway yet). But it feels lovely and cooling on the skin, I can imagine after a day in the sun this would be delightful.

4/ Garnier Micellar Water

It’s bloody typical, I only bought one of these travel sized ones for my weekend getaway to london last week. My favourite Micellar water, and will be handy to have a little travel size of this favourite.

Whilst this box maybe doesn’t offer the best value for money in terms of a beauty box, I must say I love and I’m pleased with everything I have. This is one of my favourite boxes of late. If you’re thinking of subbing to the box, and want to check out all the past boxes (I’ve been subscribed from day 1!) then take a look at all my My Little Box Reviews here.

I know, so rude of me not to have this in my collection, I would have bought this for the name if nothing else!! x

Did you notice that the other end of the pen is a stylus? 🙂
I loved this month’s box but I’m jealous of your orange nail varnish, I got the blue one which was entirely too similar to last month’s!

Ooh I’ve seen the blue shade but not seen anyone say what it was! What shade was it I like the look of it?! I hadn’t noticed but now realise what the name of the pen is! Clever idea – just shame it doesn’t have a cap as you can’t really carry it around in your bag 😔

It’s the Chills and Thrills shade. It’s nice, it’s just that it’s the same as last month! Yep, it does have a cap 🙂

It was the Chills and Thrills shade. It’s really quite nice! I might have to buy the orange though 🙂
