What I Bought in London – Makeup, Jewellery and Handbags…

We headed to London on Friday for a long weekend in the city. Me and my boyfriend had a few hours to kill before meeting up with my sister & her boyfriend on Friday before heading to Wembley to see Ed Sheeran. Naturally we headed to Covent Garden and Oxford Street, and whilst I only had plans to buy a new foundation a couple of other items (some much bigger than expected) ended up being purchased.

I was on a massive hunt for new sandals, as my only black pair are knackered, and my brown pair aren’t comfortable for wearing all day long but apparently Oxford Street was out of everything I liked in a size 8. Big feet woes for anyone who can relate, sales everywhere of shoes and the size 8 section has about 4 different shoes in it. I was willing to spend a lot of money on sandals as I was that desperate but no “we don’t have any left in an 8. Would you like a 7?”

Accessorize

Multi Coloured Gem Necklace – in Sale £13.50

We didn’t even make it out of Kings Cross before I started shopping, as we were walking past Accessorize to get to boots to buy some hayfever tablets, I said stop. I spotted this in the window and fell in love. More than I would normally spend on a fashion necklace, my boyfriend said it’s “very you” before declaring he was leaving to actually get what we needed from Boots. Reduced from £27, I definitely wouldn’t have spent that much on it, but it’s a very nice quality necklace.

Heart Studs – in Sale £6

Again another half price gem, I’ve needed some new studs for my second hole for a while. They’re gold plated and are cubic zirconia so I hope they’re not going to turn green  in the shower after a few washes, as like to have something I can leave in as I never remember to take studs out!

Debenhams

Makeup Forever HD Foundation in N127 – £29

We can finally get MUFE in the UK! Only a few online stores sold it previously and having never tried anything from the brand before I didn’t want to guess at a foundation shade. Did I need another foundation? Yes actually – a lot of the ones in my collection are sitting very yellow on my skin now I’m a little more tanned, I got colour matched and went a shade slightly darker to hopefully pre-empt being a little more tanned again with hopefully sunny weather in July and August still to come (although I did wear it the next day and it looked fine) First Impressions coming on this in a few days!

Forever 21

Drop Earrings – £3.50

Iv been looking for some of these earrings which have the back drop detail for a while, and fell in love with these when I saw them. Little pearl studs with a leaf swag deels quite grecian.

Layered Gold Hoop Detail Necklace – £4

I’ve been looking for a delicate layered necklace as I don’t have anything in my jewellery collection like this. Only thing is with this, I went to wear the next day, and it knots and twists straight away!

Michael Kors

You might remember me saying my boyfriend still owed me part of my birthday present from February in my “essentials” haul. He did good and redeemed himself nicely with buying me a new wallet… I spotted a matching bag and treated myself. I have a crossover bag which I bought from Topshop, but the clasp on it is a bit annoying and because it’s not real leather and it’s been my everyday bag for 5 months it’s already starting to look a bit aged. I’ve had a brown wallet from MK for over 3 years now, the leather isn’t scuffed or marked, but is starting to look a little dark and dirty in places and I’ve had it in my mind to get another if I saw one I liked.

Both were in the sale, and there were a few choices of colours – a mustard, cream, mandarin and pink, and I would of happily taken all of them. In the end I went for pink, as I’ve been all about the pink lately, and thought that pink also looks nice with a lot of colours. The wallet (Jetset Continental Wallet) was reduced from £125 to £62 and the Handbag (Selma Studded Messenger) was reduced from £240 to £120.

I’d say this completes my Michael Kors collection, as I have a brown wallet, black clutch, grey and white jetset, brown jetset and now a bright cross over, but you will probably see another one added within the next year. They’re great quality bags, and if you look after them they will last a long time. I’ve always managed to find mine on Sale, and have always shopped savvy when it comes to them.

That’s it not massive haul – but with a few larger items at the end!

Looking forward to the first impression on the foundation. Also the colour of your bag and wallet is so pretty.

I wish there was a debenhams I could get to easily, I’d love to see the makeup forever products in person to see the colours, looking forward to seeing what you think of it πŸ™‚ And the bag and purse are so pretty, I love that there are more cross body bags around at the moment and the colour and stud detail on that are so gorgeous. I may have a slight weakness for bags.

I definitely have a weakness for bags! I was all about big bags a year ago but love having a tiny one now! I’m glad I got to see the shades in person because I was nothing like the shade I thought I might be from looking online x

Thanks Emma, it’s my new favourite thing – small bags are the way forward – I’ve been converted πŸ™‚ xx

I love my MUFE HD Foundation. I wore it for my wedding a couple of years ago and my photos were flawless! I only use it now for when I want more coverage, otherwise I stick to BB creams. And I also have a delicate necklace like that that’s gorgeous but tangles *while* I’m putting it on. Drives me crazy! Awesome haul, though! πŸ˜‰

Hahaha, has no-buy ended for you?!! πŸ˜›
I really like the jewellery you purchased from Forever 21 – they have great items at such affordable prices!

I did need a new foundation as everything I had was sitting very yellow on my skin – so technically that doesn’t count… But I’ve not done well since either πŸ™‚ x
