When I picked this up as part of my “essentials” haul, in the 3 for 2 – as someone who doesn’t ever use anything from Soap and Glory after a bad reaction to a cleanser when I was back in Uni, I wasn’t actually aware that the Orangeasm Exfoliating Body Polish was a new addition to the S&G line, and having used it 3 times I thought it might be good to give you my first impressions.
This has a nice sweet orangey fragrance, personally I would prefer that it was a little zestier, but for those who like sweet scents this would be a good halfway house between the two. I feel like something most people talk about with S&G body products is the smell, so I was expecting it to be very overpowering, “fill your whole bathroom with oranges” kind of smell, but I wouldn’t say it’s that strong. The smell doesn’t really linger on the skin either – I tested this just on my arm without getting in the shower.
The texture of it is a bit difficult to describe, it’s a sticky gel that feels a bit like honey, with the exfoliating part made of a sugary type texture with small exfoliating beads. This does a good job of being a regular use exfoliator if you like to scrub yourself, it’s not scratchy or harsh on the skin – and doesn’t make you feel as if you’ve just taken of 7 layers of skin, but does leave you with smooth skin having buffed away any dry skin.
A small handful is all you need to do your arms and legs (I’m 5 11 though – so I have extra long arms and legs!). This is labelled as limited edition – i’m not sure if that’s something S&G always do before launching a product permanently, but big Soap and Glory lovers may want to get their hands on this whilst still available.
I got this as a 3 for 2 extra item, and I’m glad that I did – but that offer has since finished. In Boots the current S&G offer is a Free Righteous Butter when you spend over £10.
Orangeasm Body Polish Retails for £8.
What are your favourite S&G products? I’m thinking I should go back on my previous bad experience and try out some items in the future!
