I just wanted to do a quick little post on August Magazine Freebies which I spotted today whilst having a wander round town which turned into a shopping trip (haul Tuesday)! I only picked up one myself, but it was a good one! Summer is 100% the best time for magazine Freebies, magazines try to lure new readers who are in the airport picking up magazines for the plane, the best way to sway people with no loyalty is freebies. I’m guilty as charged.
This July instyle wins the award for the best Freebie this month, the much talked about St Tropez in Shower Gradual tanner comes as a sample with this month’s magazine. I was on the verge of buying this in Boots and decided against it for no-spend conscious, but decided to pick up a magazine in the supermarket for spending time relaxing in my garden reading in the glorious British weather we’re having (hello 30 degrees this never happens!) and low and behold there was a freebie of this. And Reese Witherspoon is on the cover, enough reason? I probably won’t try this out until September time as I already look like I’ve spent a week in Turkey, and this weather isn’t set to go anywhere yet – so a self tanner isn’t on the cards for me – but I’m glad I picked up this try me sized sample to see what all the fuss has been about when my real tan dies down in autumn!
Update : having just been to the supermarket on my lunch I saw lots of magazines, and I might have indulged in an issue of Red as I need a magazine for the train to London on Friday and I’ve already read instyle…

I never see or get these magazine freebies! Instead I have subscriptions but I don’t think we get these type of freebies here in the US which is a bummer. :/ xo
