My Little French Riviera Box – My Little Box June 2015

About a week ago I had an email from My Little Box saying that they were having trouble sending out this month’s batch of boxes – and that they should arrive straight away. Whilst initially a bit glum – I thought actually during a no spend month it will give me something to look forward to during the grey weeks at the end of the month – so I was surprised when this turned up just 3 days after their normal due date.

June 2015’s My Little Box welcomes another french theme – “My Little French Riviera” – and whilst it was quite a grey evening on discovering this had been left in my shed, as I opened it was like a ray of french sunshine made in collaboration with designer Sarah Lavoine. Co-ordinating very well with my living room decor, this box is very blue.

This month the box included the regular fold out magazine with a pretty print which matched the box. With 2 lifestyle items and a little sea of blue beauty products, this box has been very well tied in with the theme.

The Lifestyle ITEMs

2 Little Pots

These fold out thin plastic pots can be used for anything, plant holders, pen pots etc (they’re thin & flexible – think the big ikea plastic bags). I’m not too sure what I will use these for yet – but I’m thinking some kind of bathroom storage.

Sunglasses

It’s only been this week that I’ve been eyeing up similar Rayban Erika sunglasses online, whilst I would normally opt for a more brown frame, this is an interesting frame colour that’s black/brown/purpley. I love wayfarers, but they just don’t suit my face, and I think these are a more feminine-cat eyed alternative. Really happy to have these and see how much I like wearing them, will give me a good idea as to whether it’s worth me splashing the cash on a pair of Rayban’s!

THE BEAUTY PRODUCTS

Loved by Sarah Lavoine Nail Polish in 501

This will come as a bit of a shock for people who read my blog – I don’t think I have a shade like this in my collection – in a collection of 150+ that’s quite good surprising. This is a pretty teal shade, which I’m excited to give a try out of!

Kerastase Ciment Thermique

I had a bit of a “Great! Kerastase… but what is it?” moment with this product. Its a heat activated treatment designed to smooth out split ends, help stop breakage, increase shine & smoothness. I’ve tried products like this in the past and have never been that keen on them – but have liked everything that I’ve tried from Kerastase, so I am looking forward to trying this

My Little Beauty Gommage Marin

Last but not least is this months product from box maker My Little Beauty – adorned with pretty anchors, this is a tube of body scrub – handy as I’ve just finished off my coffee scrub! It’s not the biggest size for a body product, but a quick whiff off this takes you straight to the seaside. Made with sea salt and ajonc water – this claims to be refreshing and I think it will be!

What do you think of this month’s box? I must say this is one of my favourites in a while – I love everything (or at least I’m excited to try everything)!

Wow, you got a pair of sunglasses in a subscription box – that’s a first! It’s a risky move since face shapes / nose bridges vary so much – I have such a hard time with sunglasses! I have a pair of RB Wayfarers, but in the new style which is slimmer – have you tried those?
It’s always good to get a shade of polish you don’t already own! 😛
The concept of those little plastic pots is good but I’m stumped what to use them for. Cotton rounds? Maxi pads? lol

I’m thinking maybe bath bombs for the big one, because they’re so light and floaty I think they need worm thing heavier in! I’m not sure, I’ve tried on the smaller ones – it’s where they’re quite flat across the top where i don’t think it suits me (and it highlights more that I have naturally wonky brows

Yes, trying on sunglasses has revealed that my ears aren’t at the same level! 😛

These boxes look really good, I love the art on the actual boxes and the little card that comes in them. I like the sunglasses and those big bags are nice but I’d have no idea what to use them for.

This is my favourite box I’ve seen from them so far! It’s the first that’s made me really tempted to get one!c

I just received mine today! It definitely made up for last month’s disappointing box. I love the smell of the sea salt scrub! x

I felt last month’s products were disappointing, since L’occitane was giving out the same products for free as part of their provence campaign!

The My Little Dream Box by far is my favourite one! x

Just had to recap which one that was, initially I was excited about that one – but didn’t love any of the products when it came to using them! Think my favourite was the Parisian one which was their first UK one!

My box arrived yesterday! I’m so impatient I was getting grumpy 😛
I thought it was a lovely box, the glasses I received actually were a brown pair!
I’m in love the colour of the nail varnish, can’t wait to try it out 🙂
