Face Mask Friday #10 – 7th Heaven Blemish Mud

Woohoo! Face Mask Friday number 10, it’s taken me a good few weeks to get another face mask, I’ve actually been doing a  good job of making my way through ones that I have, but after a breakout of epic proportions on my chin last weekend, I decided to give something else a go to try and get it to calm down.

I opted for 7th Heaven’s Blemish Mud Mask to try and get my skin under wraps. Containing Aloe Vera and Evening Primrose Oil to soothe, and Witch Hazel and Willow to target the spots and cleanse the skin.

Like all of these mask, you don’t look as cool as the woman on the packet, appearing to have a green tint – this applies completely white. The consistency is very thick, and does give a nice soothing and cooling effect when first applied, the mud mask then completely hardens after 5-10 minutes. I left on for 30 minutes whilst I was doing my nails before washing off. It is a bit of a nightmare to wash off – as the mud just kept drying white – a shower was required to get rid of it!

I was hoping that this would be a mask which just soothed and calmed skin and blemishes, rather than drawing everything out and  before they got better and thankfully it did. Instantly my skin felt smoother and the redness in my spots reduced, the next morning I noticed that small pimples I had dotted around my face had mostly disappeared.

This wasn’t a complete miracle worker, but it did help soothe and minimise the size of some of the larger spots, all in all for £1. A good one from them!

Not bad for the price! I laughed when you said you didn’t look as cool as the woman on the packet

I just did a clay mask last night – Kibio Pureness Radiance Mask – my skin has been acting up due to allergies. I find mud / clay masks good for soothing and soaking up some of the excess oils but just a temporary effect. The packaging on these 7th Heaven masks are so fun and colourful!
