Face Mask Friday #6 – Nuxe Masque Creme Fraiche Review

I received the Nuxe Masque Creme Fraiche Mask in October 2014’s Glossybox, and I had kind of forgot that it existed until I saw a review of this from Rachwat a few weeks ago (her review here!). When I first received it, I was using it regularly, before being put to the bottom of the drawer and forgotten for a few months.

The Nuxe Creme Fraiche Face Mask is pretty un-offensive, as masks go it has a slight scent, but is very neutral and fresh, there is no textures, it’s a smooth white cream, and when you apply it invisibly sinks into the skin. The mask is designed to rehydrate the skin as well as soothe any redness, itching, tingling or burning. The problems I have with my skin aren’t really problems that I tend to have, as with normal-combination skin, I don’t really have any dry patches and I don’t suffer with persistent sensitivity.  However, I did see the effects from it, after washing away – after only 10 minutes is needed – my skin felt a little smoother and the next day my skin will feel a little more hydrated, but not much more than had I have just used a thick moisturiser.

It’s not the cheapest mask on the market, at £18.50 for 50ml, and to be honest I’m not 100% sure that I like it enough for the price as for me personally it doesn’t target my skins problems. If I was going to invest almost £20, I would choose something better for my skin. Whilst it’s not the cheapest you only really need a pea sized amount of product, and I think you would get 20 or so applications from this tube, If you’re a dry and sensitive skin sufferer, I would recommend doing some reading up on this mask more, it might be great for you.

I’ve only got 2 more face masks left in my collection to review, if you’ve got any particular recommendations, or things you would like to see tested out, please let me know, otherwise, I might attempt to start using some of these up before carrying on the series!

Great review! That is a little bit high for a face mask, I have to agree with you there. There are definitely cheaper alternatives out there that would cater to your needs. 🙂 xo
