Superdrug Haul

It’s not very often you will see a Superdrug haul from me, at heart I am a Boots girl, I’d rather save all my loyalty points for one place to get the maximum benefit – especially as I like to save my points for extravagant purchases, like expensive perfumes or makeup. I popped into my local Superdrug as I was looking for something that was only stocked there. And little did I know that they had revamped the makeup counters in store and added new lines. Those new lines include Makeup Revolution, which is going to be dangerous having on my doorstep! All makeup/cosmetics were on 3 for 2, so I took up the opportunity to grab some items.

Lottie Nail Polishes – £5.99 Each

This is a brand new brand to me, and it would seem like most people too, as I’ve been unable to find out much about it on other blogs or youtube. I love the packaging on these, and there was a massive shade selection to checkout . My phase of loving blue, has changed into a phase of loving orange, and the camera just didn’t do justice in the light to how bright the orange is. I can’t wait to try these out!

Lottie Paint By Numbers Nail Art Kit – £8.99

This wasn’t a product which was very well explained at all on the packet – but I couldn’t help but be intrigued by it. This is a kit of 3 different design styles – Chevron, Colour Block and Stripes. You can choose whether to leave them and not paint in, or paint in between the gaps and create your own ‘unique design’. This comes with a little nail brush to get in between the gaps with colours you want to paint with.

  When I bought these I kind of presumed that you painted one coat, put on the design and painted your contrasting colour – then peeled away the design so it was just like using striping tape. I can’t see how these are going to look that good, and I can imagine it being very bumpy, but we shall see! I think these are quite expensive for what they are, but curiosity got the better of me in the shop.

Colab by Ruth Crilly Extreme Volume Dry Shampoo in Paris – Currently on Offer £2.99

I’ve previously done a Colab Dry Shampoo review, in that post I said I was wanting to try the extreme volume version in the future so here it is! I’ve not given this a go yet, but I decided to pick my favourite scent of the two which I’d previously tried to give it a go. Keep your eyes peeled, no doubt there will be another review of the extreme volume version coming up.

Revolution Pressed Powder in Translucent – £2

I picked this up as part of my Makeup Revolution haul which was posted last week, this has replaced my Rimmel Stay Matte as my favourite powder, I wanted a backup to put in my handbag, as it’s very handy packaged, as it swivels (lid won’t fall off and crumble everywhere), and has a mirror on the back, and a little cosmetic sponge for emergency touch ups on the go.

Makeup Revolution Aqua Seal – £3

Great for pigments this is a multiuse product which can be used as a primer or to seal in eye makeup. I’m not really a pigment wearer as I find them too messy, but I used to have a product from Benefit called shelaq, which has sadly been discontinued which was amazing for sealing eye makeup that didn’t budge for an entire day, which made it great for hot weather that means makeup runs off your face, it made it waterproof so great for holidays/pools, and it meant for extremely long days it would last from morning til late late evening. I’m hoping Aqua Seal can replace it, have yet to try, but I will review in due course as I’m very excited to see if this will work!

Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Fake Tan – £7.99

I saw a review from Katie at Plus+ beauty on this and was eager to try. Self admittedly I tried this at the weekend, but didn’t leave it on as long as I probably should have done as I was going out – but in 40 minutes it gave me a subtle tanned glow that was perfectly even. It was a mousse and was very easy to apply – also no biscuity smell. I will be trying this out properly before I properly review it, as it wasn’t left on for the full time, and for my skin tone, I could probably get away with leaving it on for the max 3 hours.
