Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 2 Palette

Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 2 Palette

Last week I posted review and swatches from Makeup Revolutions dupe of the Lorac Pro 1 Palette, I also picked up the Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 2 at the same, which unsurprisingly is a dupe of the Lorac Pro 2 palette.

This is now my fourth eyeshadow palette from Makeup Revolution, I have a couple of their Naked palette dupes, and for the price, these are incredible value for money, especially compared to the originals. And these last for me the same as any high end brands I’ve tried. I covered, everything to do with prices etc in my Iconic Pro 1 post, so check that out here for full details if you missed the first post.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t dislike this palette, but the colours are quite similar on the shimmer side. The first two whilst looking quite different in the pan, look almost identical side by side.  The same with Awaken, New Day and Stealer – all the shades in the pan look a little different to how they swatch and all the colours are a bit too close for all of them to be necessary – but that’s more a problem with the original Lorac Pro 2 palette, as this is a dupe for that, and swatches look very similar from Makeup Revolutions to Lorac’s.

The stand out shades for me are Ambition the green shimmer, Faith the deep brown shimmer, Grey Day the charcoal matte shade and Silk, which is a gorgeous inner corner highlight.

The only shade that disappoints me across the two palettes is the deep blue ‘New Rules’ it’s just a little bit too chalky and difficult to work with – it’s not a shade that I will reach for very often.

If I was in the shop I’m not sure which of these palettes I would choose, I don’t think I would buy both, but I’m not sure if I would opt for the Iconic pro 1 or 2!

In case you missed the Haul that this palette came from, I also had a giveaway to win a load of Makeup Revolution products, that giveaway ends at midnight (GMT) this evening, so if you want to win a bundle of Makeup Revolution items click here!

I went into superdrug and had a look at these after you’re last post and couldn’t decide which palette would be better as they’re so similar! I was surprised by how good they seem to be though x

This palette looks gorgeous! I would love to try this one. I have been wanting the Lorac Pro 2 palette but this seems like a nice inexpensive alternative. 🙂 xo

They’re both nice but I prefer the all neutral shades of the #1 just because I know I’d get more use out of ALL the shades. As usual, the shimmers outshines the mattes here. Thanks for swatching and reviewing these palettes!
