Yes you’ve guessed it, collection are the latest company to jump onboard the naked eyeshadow trend, by throwing a new trio of palettes into the the overcrowded arena. Which of course I just had to try.
Firstly the packaging, from pictures I thought these palettes were going to be plastic, but infect they’re a very light cardboard, the matte black finish is deceiving, even in person. Each palette has 6 eye shadows, which are mostly made up of shimmer finishes. Each palette features the standard double ended dofur applicator we’ve come to expect from all eyeshadow palettes.
Eyes Uncovered Nude Bronze Palette
As soon as I opened this it reminded me instantly of my makeup revolution iconic 2 palette (dupe for naked 2) , side by side almost all of these colours are dupes for one another (comparison below). The shade golden brown reminds me very much of urban decays smog eyeshadow. This is the palette from this collection which is most comparable for me in shades to any of the naked palettes, and is the one you’re least likely to have a similar palette to in my opinion. All shadows in this palette are shimmers
Eyes Uncovered Nude Grey Palette
This is the one palette if you were only picking one that I would go for, apart from parchment which is a dud shade the consistency of all the others are y far the best out of all 3. These are taupe brown shades and I feel like these are the most unlike what you will have floating around in other palettes. Urban decay are yet to do a grey based nude palette – although I’m sure that’s coming, so I have yet to get anything similar or see this becoming all the rage. Eclipse has a very subtle shimmer in the pan, but so matte in swatches.
Eyes Uncovered Nude Palette
I feel like a lot of people will have something similar to the nude, but personally I don’t. This palette gives a subtle wash of colour to the eyes, nothing too much which would make this a perfect palette for “no make up” make up looks. Whilst in pan some of these shades appear quite dark they have a sheer but even consistency when swatched. White chocolate and biscuit barely show in swatches but both are nice for inner corner highlighting.
The lighter shades don’t swatch particularly well on my arm, and on they’re okay, but comparatively to the makeup revolution palettes they’re a bit sub par. I don’t find eye shadows last on me a full day without a primer no matter how expensive the brand is, and these are no exception. With a primer however these last as well as my urban decay, mac or makeup revolution. The only slight niggle with them is that I don’t find these as easy to blend as other brands, it is do-able, but it just takes more patience.
On one hand I think, i think you really don’t need these if you own the naked palette, or any of its countless dupes (disregarding exact shades) but on the other hand I think they’re kind of handy. Because the packaging is so light and compact these are incredibly practical for travel. However if you aren’t a big traveller, these are normally priced at £3.99, I would rather spend the extra penny on ether makeup revolution iconic palettes, which will give you both more shades and a better formulation in the paler colours.

I only have the nude pallete and so far it’s amazing!
I’ve definitely neglected these since buying them, I pretty much only swatched them to review then used a few times – need to dig them back out again! x
I only just bought mine recently so think I’m just going to play around with them for a bit and find a look I like with them. It’s nice to look through your collection and try things out again as if they were new! X
