Lusting After: Spring Pastels & Florals

I’m doing a lot of online window shopping, it wouldn’t be window shopping if I wasn’t losing weight as fast as I am, I’m scared to buy anything new at the moment incase a) I waste my money and it doesn’t fit in a months time b) I size down, and size down too much and it either still won’t fit or won’t look right.

Pastels and florals are unsurprisingly back everywhere for spring and I’m loving the more formal look which seems to be cropping up with it. I like it when things that are more formal looking come into trend, people can accuse you of trying too hard when you wear otherwise, but when it’s on trend there’s a valid excuse!

ASOS are killing it for me at the moment, it’s taking all my restraint not to order 20 or so items from them! Hopefully some of these might be available in a month or 2 and I can come back post dieting and pick some of these up, maybe even for a sneaky sale steal.

ASOS Floral Midi Prom Dress

This would be beautiful for a spring or summer wedding as a guest outfit, I love the retro cut of this. I also like that it goes cross shoulder rather than having the straps over the shoulder as that can often look quite boxy.

Available Here £85

ASOS Lace Trim Debutante Midi Dress

asos2

Slightly less formal than the last dress, I think this could be dressed up for special occassions but would also suit sandals and blazers for a laid back smart casual look for work. I love the contasting black lace which adds a more modern twist to this classic cut.

Available Here £45

ASOS Premium Bonded Lace Skirt in Floral Print

I’m totally in love with this, again would be great dressed up or down, and looks great with a slightly baggy tucked in plain t-shirt.

Available Here £60

Chi Chi London Premium Metallic Lace Full Midi Skirt

asos4

Adore this skirt as well, I like it with the cream cami for a muted vintage tone. I can imagine wearing this for work in the summer with a nice pair of wedge sandals.

Available Here £45

Steve Madden Suzanna Nude Embellished barely There Heeled Sandals

asos5 asos5-2

These are girly enough to be worn with anything above that’s already featured, but I like the detail of these which almost looks a bit like studs which edges up an otherwise girly pair of shoes. I think these would also look gorgeous with some washed out denim jeans. Steve Madden are the most comfortable shoes which I own, so would have no hesitation in splurging on these.

Available here £75

Dorothy Perkins Green Shirt Tie Dress

I don’t think this is being worn in the most flattering way in the photo, but I love the botanic print on this shirt dress. I don’t own any shirt dresses, but this would look gorgeous left more open for spring summer chic.

Available here (£24 Currently on sale – usually £30)

Topshop Saffiano Satchel Bag

You may recognise this if you’re a regular reader of this blog, in my lusting after post, I featured this same bag in a mustard yellow. I’ve since purchased that and I absolutely adore it and I’m debating buying this in pastel blue too. This is amazing quality for the price, I’ve been debating purchasing a Rebecca Minkoff bag for a while for days in the city, and I’m so glad I didn’t splurge! This is so much more roomy than the mini macs!

Available here £32
