I was nominated a few weeks ago by the lovely Rachael from Rachwat (check her out if you don’t already follow) for a Liebster Award, I think this is Liebster number 3.
Here are the rules for the Liebster Award:
1. Thank the blog that nominated you and link them.
2. Answer the eleven questions provided by the person who nominated you and then create an eleven question set for the next group of nominees.
3. Choose eleven people to nominate and link them on the post. They must have less than 200 followers.
4. Let your nominees know they’ve been tagged – and no tag backs!
1. What beauty product are you lusting after at the moment?
A Clarisonic, I’ve wanted one for years before they were available in the UK, They’re now stocked in Boots and I’ve got a ridiculous amount of Boots points which I normally save for perfume (but last week I realised that I had 15 perfumes so really don’t need anymore). but in another month or two I should just about have enough to get one for “free”.
2. Name 5 things on your buy list for the year.
A Clarisonic! A new car (mazda 3 hatchback is current plan), Curtains for my living room/dining room/bedroom & new blinds for the kitchen/bathrooms/hallway! How grown up!
3. What do you hope to see more of in fashion trends this year? e.g. colour, pattern, skater skirts
I like a trend that takes me by surprise, a few years ago I made a new years resolution to ‘start dressing my age’ (aka, stop only shopping in M&S) and I don’t loyally follow trends, but I do try stuff on I wouldn’t normally choose or expect to wear. I ended up last year especially with a load of items that were out of my comfort zone, but are now amongst my wardrobe favourites! One thing I would like is more geometric patterns, (across fashion and homeware), in the US you’re blessed with this, but we really don’t get much geometric patterns over here, stripes, floral or block colour is generally all we have!
4. What’s your favourite beauty subscription box?
My Little Beauty, Although I am really excited to see what love me beauty box is going to be like, I’m currently waiting for my second box to arrive, but think I will wait until month 3 before deciding whether to stick with it or not!
5. Name a blogger you think we should all be following and why?
Miss Budget Beauty, Daily postings of honest product reviews, fashion and other bits too – everything is mostly affordable so you can get recommendations of affordable products before you try!
6. What was your best purchase in 2014?
7. What’s your favourite beauty brand? Why?
Ooh that’s a toughy, I’m defiantly not brand loyal across the board there’s products I prefer from different lines, e.g. Lancome Mascaras, MAC Lipsticks, OPI nail polish. But if there is one line that I think I could pick the most products from to get along with for everything it would be MAC.
8. What’s your favourite fashion label? Why?
Probably ASOS, I’m tall and in general find the high street a bit of a struggle to navigate. I have longer legs than average for my height so skirts and dresses are generally too short from the high street. And I’m ‘blessed’ with bigger boobs (often more of a burden than a blessing) – which means that I need extra length in tops to cover everything and still be a normal length and not cropped! ASOS’ Tall line is my saviour for getting things which fit properly. I can normally rely on the line pretty well to deliver something that fits.
9. What is the best book you’ve read recently?
Currently Great Gatsby, which I am enjoying. The last books I finished was when I was on holiday in October, and I posted some mini reviews of books I read whilst away there were some goodun’s in there, recently Girl Online and Love Tanya too.
10. What film are you most excited about seeing this year?
The Last Hunger Games, Insurgent and Avengers 2 – I can’t pick one!
11. What are you most looking forward to in 2015?
Currently the most exciting things are probably going to Budapest in April. And I’m enjoying spending summer in our home, we moved in Summer last year and we were so busy unpacking, decorating, gardening etc that we didn’t really get to enjoy spending time in our garden admiring our hard work. We’re planning on extending our patio and building a BBQ and Pizza Oven, which we will do as soon as the weather comes right so we can spend the rest of the year enjoying the garden properly.
I’ve been looking through all the blogs which I loyally read, and there are now none that are under 200 followers (well done you lot), therefore without actively searching for people to feature, in which case that kind of defies the point of recommending people that I read.
So this will definitely be the last one I take part in, I’m very close to the cut off barrier now for the tag, so think this will be the cut off for me anyway!.
