A once avid of Made in Chelsea, The Binky line of nail polishes comes from none other than star of the show Binky Felstead, I’ve eyed this line up for a long time as in the past we’ve stocked them where I work.
Beaufort Burgundy is a perfect deep raspberry maroon shade, a definite red with a slight hint of deep pinkness. This is pinned as a gel look polish and I must admit it is super shiny. It’s a very classic shade, which is suited all year round.
This has a very thick consistency, and dries very quickly which gives a very flawless finish, if your nail is in good condition. I have worn this twice now, and the second time, I had just worn a glitter before, and my nails could really have done with a buff. I noticed that the second time it picked up much more on the imperfections under the nail.
Although nicely glossy, thick and a great finish (when nails are in good condition), I must admit this didn’t have the best staying power. I found within a day small chips were starting to appear, and within 2 days every nail was quite badly chipped. I’ve also tested this with trusted Seche Vite, and it didn’t help which for me means.
Despite this, I don’t think it will be a shade that gets shoved to the polish graveyard to collect dust and never be seen again. But will probably be something I reach for more to go with a specific outfit, or something which will dry and apply quickly, as I’m in a rush.
