I wasn’t intending on subscribing to a new beauty box, but when a video for Love Me Beauty popped up in my youtube subscriptions today from Gemsmaquillage, I was instantly intrigued to take a look never having heard of it.
The concept boils down to getting beauty products recommended to you based on a questionnaire you have filled out, you can then choose to receive these products, or go ahead and pick from the rest of the selections. In this instance, I picked one recommended product, but opted for some others, had there of not been a brand I was dying to try, I would have taken more of the recommendations, as they did look genuinely good.
You have six credits to spend monthly as part of the cost of your monthly subscription, products are made up of either one or two credits, and you choose how you break that down. From what I note, higher value items such as £10+ tend to be 2 (tend to be full size), and sample sizes and lower value brands (anatomicals for example) tend to be 1. (Sample sizes seem to be decent sample sizes though, no sachets here).
The brand I’m excited to receive as I’ve been dying to try is nail polishes from Nailberry, at £13.50 each and at 2 credits each, I’ve picked up 2 as part of my order for this month. Sneak peak of one of them below:

I’d recommend watching Gemsmaquillage’s video on it, as it goes into a bit more depth. She also has a 50% off discount code (which can be used as part of). A normal rolling subcription is £10 + £3.95 P&P, so with a 50% discount code, that’s just £8.95 (Less than the cost of one of the polishes alone), a rough total of the value of my box is somewhere in the region of £37, so as value for money goes, it’s fantastic. The voucher code also applies to the bulk subscriptions, so if you want to take a punt and order the 12 month for example (3 & 6 Also available) it will only work out as £7.70 a month inc delivery (The Voucher Code is GMQ50, should you just want to go ahead and order).

🙁 I haven’t I’ve dropped them an email, my order is showing as placed but the ‘in the box’ when I view my order is blank, and it still says I have 6 credits!

There was a problem with my order, it didn’t go through properly – just had to place it again, fingers crossed it works this time! Next months credit renewal happens on the 5th, which is when mine is due to arrive!
