Out of the 5 Golden Rose nail polishes I bought on holiday, this was the one I was most excited to try. I genuinely don’t own anything like this in my collection, and nor can I think of anything similar. Golden Rose’s Rich Colour 116 Nail Varnish is a very yellow toned khaki polish, compared next to my traditional more green toned camo green coat you can see the difference in tone.
I put this on very quickly as I was rushing out the house to see a friend and was running late, so had no time for a base coat or a topcoat, but it left a beautiful smooth and glossy finish by itself. 6 days later, I had chips on 2 nails, and the rest just has wear to the tips, which wouldn’t be bad enough to repaint if it wasn’t for the few present chips. It got to the point where it was almost like a gel, where I could see where my nails had grown significantly at the base. It has very very subtle silver micro glitter, which I think without would maybe look a little flat.
Normally by day 3 I would fed up and want to change the colour, but I couldn’t stop looking at my hands the whole time this was on.
I believe this polish cost somewhere in the region of 7 Turkish Lira – which is less than £3. I wish I had bought more of the rich colours formulation as I’m seriously impressed with this.
I think this would be a really good polish for creating a camo nail art look, might have to have a think about how to do that, as I’m itching for an excuse to put this pack on my nails again!
