Following on from my last empties post where I shared lots of empty mascara and eyeliner empties after a big finishing off clear out, here is everything else I’ve managed to use up this month!
MAC Prep and Prime Skin Primer
I have several of these samples from a sign up on their facebook to receive free samples (used multiple email addresses and multiple postage addresses to get 4 samples – shush!) This is the first that I’ve used up – I like this primer a lot, and these are very handy to take away if you’re off for a few days, so will save them for weekends away. I like this primer a lot, it reminds me of the Benefit Porefessional but less siliconey.
Repurchase? : Not Immediately as I have several of these, + 2 Laura Mercier Samples to keep me going for a while, but I do like it enough to repurchase in the future.
Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation
A lot of people love this foundation, I don’t get on with it very well. Personally I have oily/combination skin, and the serum in this feels quite oily too. After a few hours, especially if it’s warm I find that it melts off my face, despite priming, powdering etc. If you have dry or possibly normal skin I could see how you would like this foundations. But if you have oil or combination I’d stay clear.
Repurchase? : Not for me!
Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation
I’ve been generally impressed with all the foundations I’ve tried from Rimmel so far. I like this foundation, I’m not sure it lasts 24 hours, but with a good powder (something I have to do anyway to keep the oiliness at bay), this lasts through my long stressful work days.
Repurchase? : If I was choosing one from Rimmel I would probably opt for their wake me up foundation which I prefer, but equally if it was on offer I would pick this up too.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
I accidentally put this in the kitchen bin, on top of curry… so couldn’t photograph.
Who hasn’t heard of this concealer? It’s a cult classic with every beauty fanatic. I’ve tried other concealers that I like more, such as MAC Studio Finish, but not more than I like in difference in price. This is a bargain (I think currently £4.19?). try this if you haven’t yet, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
Repurchase? : I already have and I’m already using it!
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer
I liked this concealer, but no more than the cult favourite, Collection. The Maybelline Fit Me line (concealers & foundations), have a really good shade range, so if you struggle to find a shade which matches, check this line out.
Repurchase? : No purely because I prefer a cheaper alternative, but again, I wouldn’t say no if it was free!
Dove Dry Shampoo
This was my favourite dry shampoo for a long time. Expect a full dry shampoo showdown and more in depth review on this coming up. I’ve been through at least 4 or 5 of these in the past. But I’ve tried out others since which may have changed the game.
Repurchase? : You’ll have to wait until a few posts time!
