Topshop Magpie – Swatch and Review

Topshop Magpie review

I am a Magpie, any thing which has glitter on i’m immediately drawn too, my boyfriend will often say “you like it because it’s shiny, don’t you?” which is nothing short of the truth. So let’s just call it destiny that I discovered this polish last year.

Topshop Magpie Review and Swatch
Out of Focus Glitter Shot – Its so shiny!

Topshop Magpie is a (very) yellow toned holographic gold, with little sparkles of pale pink throughout. Magpie is definitely a topcoat, you couldn’t build it to be opaque I think any more than 2 coats and you’d start to find that the glitter would start to clump together in patches. It applies evenly and shown here with 1 coat it’s glittery enough without needing another…

Recently I tried it over a white for the first time and I loved it, but as it’s shiny I think I would love it over anything.

I’ve also found that it makes a gold polish, extra gold, as over OPI Glitzerland below:

The thing which annoys me most about topshop is that shop to shop their polishes don’t seem to be consistently stocked with those which carry the cosmetics line, They seem to have a few random ones by the till which can’t be found anywhere else in the store. I over use the Topshop polishes that I have as I love the shades so much, but have never been able to see a back up of this or my other favourite anywhere. Does anywhere else have this problem with topshop or is it just me?
